I was remembering the old debate as to who would win, and decided to try remaking it, but with some... "rules".
Please oh God no arguing about which one is more "realistic". Neither one is more "realistic" then the other.

Samus Aran doesn't have any books representing her as having far superior capabilities to those shown in the games, so the Halo books do not count.

Both Samus Aran and the Master Chief have theoretical perfect aim and such. Don't bother saying that "samus has teh craptasticular aimzor OMGOMGOMG chief would win!". They are both bad-ass ass-kickers.

Yes, the Master Chief can flip 66-ton tanks. He's strong enough do it... in that context. If he could kill Samus Aran with a single melee attack because of that, then he should be just as effective, if not more, against other Spartans in multiplayer, and he should send Grunts flying with his left-handed sucker-punch that a Plasma Pistol melee provides you, and yet it takes several attacks with a large weapon with a giant curved blade on it to kill Grunts...
There's a very, very. very large difference between how much weight you can lift and how hard you can hit something.

The Master Chief does not have millisecond reflexes, or rediculous running speed. If he had such reflexes, then he should never get hit by Covenant Plasma fire, since those things travel very slow. If he could sprint at speeds higher than a Cheetah's top speed, I doubt it would take him so long to run to the edge of such a small temple-like structure that's about to be obliterated.

And dear GOD no "The 'Chief looks cooler, it's no contest!!" arguments!

The Master Chief does not have an army. He does not have lots and lots of guns. He does not have vehicles. If you want to say that he does have vehicles, then I'll say that Samus has her ship which is invincible in-game that allows her to completely recharge her health and weapons.

Lastly, yes, I realize that the Halo and Metroid universes are different and are hard to compare accurately, so don't bother saying so. Go yell at everyone else that makes these kinds of debates or polls, such as Gamefaqs.

Samus gets out of her suit a lot. Also you didn't mention armor so:
Samus' withstands lava and acid sprays.
MC's... doesn't.
MC has shotguns, machine guns, pistols, rocketlaucnhers, and stuff
Samus has flamethrowers, plasma gun, ice gun, wave gun, missle, super missle, bombs, and stuff.

At night MC has a flashlight
Samus has Echo Vision, Heat Vision, and X Ray Vision.

Master Chief doesn't have any "Machine Guns".
He had an Assault Rifle(MA5B), and a Sub-Machine Gun(M7 SMG), though...

But a static charge owns it . MC needs to rub his feet on a carpet for a few seconds and Samus loses all her cool stuff. Then they proceed to do what Xeno says they will do

She could do that really fast move where she basically runs at fast speeds and pierce right through Master Chief. The name of the ability isn't in my head right now, but it allowed you to go through certain walls, and she looked REALLY cool.
She could also use the Ice Beam and basically turn Master Chief into a Master Icicile.

Closest thing I can think of to what you're talking about is using the Speed Boots to perform a Dash.

It's actually called the speed booster, but it will only activate if she has enough room to run and let it activate. It seems you haven't put as much limitation on Samus as you did Master Chief. She just basically needs to have her Gravity suit and use Space Jump with Screw Attack. She'll chase Chief around until he gets tired and make him explode on impact from Screw Attack I guess.

Either that or she can use Dark Burst and suck Master Chief into that void it creates. Like for example, if Chief was charging at her, she can jump back and shoot the ground in front of him with Dark Burst.

I'm still not sure how it will turn out but those are just a couple scenarios I came up with.

True, I put a lot more limitations on the 'Chief then I did on Samus.
That's because I was addressing stupidities I noticed in the last thread, of which I saw few for Samus, if any.
No one made any rediculous claims like "The metroid from Super Metroid could kill the Master Chief", or "A single power-bomb would kick the 'Chief's ass!".

While samus is shooting at the chief, all the cheif has to do is sticky her and shes dead

Assuming they're fighting at such a range where she couldn't easily dodge which. Whcih I suppose isn't too unlikely a scenario, since she'd have to be that close to hit the 'Chief more than once every ten shots... if she's lucky...

Nearly hit-scan weapons(I know that in original Halo, nothing is hit-scan, but I've only tested S2AM and Beam Rifle in H2)
Recharging Energy Shields
Motion Tracker
Samus:
Infinite ammo
Far superior total health
Power Bombs
[Better] Jumping ( Practical flight, with Space-Jumping or whatever it was called )
Screw Attack ( I'm pretty sure that that would be more powerful than any melee attack the 'Chief uses... )
Ball Form
(Assuming she somehow manages to hit) "Difusion" Ice Missiles, Ice Beam
"Echo Vision"(?)
Extreme resistance to heat- Plasma weapons should have little effect... but then, there's the Space Pirates with "Plasma" weaponry... so... whatever...

Disadvantages:
Master Chief:
Shield is weak to "Plasma" weaponry ( Ice, Charge, Plasma, Super Missile, Death )
Samus:
SLOW weapon travel rates
Crystal Flash is the only method of health recharge( that I know of ) [ For info, look-up Super Metroid on Gamefaqs ]

Love your reasoning there Krazy, it's ingenius. Doesn't Samus have those back-up power tanks that she can use to heal in SNES? If Master Chief tries to get close to her, all she has to do is a screw attack, and he's dead.

Do you even know what plasma weaponry is? You superheat a gas and control its movent and shape through magnetic fields. It is EXTREMELY hard to maintain in a non-vacuum environment. This is why plasma weaponry is extremely inprobable. Well, maybe in space it would work, but not in an atmosphere.

Anyway ice cannot be a plasma. Supermissile was changed in the prime games. It was really just a missile as strong as 5 normal ones. What the hell is "death"?

Charge beam (power beam) and Plasma beams are the only real plasma weapons Samus has, even though they aren't beams

Actually, Plasma is what you beleive it is. Technically, though, Plasma is just anything so tightly packed with energy it cascades and implodes. It doesn't have to be gas. Threrefore, cramming a ton of Kenetic Energy into a ball of ice ought to make some sort of light-speed fast plasma shot.

Hmm, you're right, but it wouldn't be ice anymore, the ice would increase in its particle movement and melt into water and therfore become a gas. See, I was right, it has to be a gas, because it either goes into a liquid and then evaporates or just sublimates if you try to make a solid into a plasma.

Oh well mister smart ass, I guess Samus doesn't have a "Suit" She has "Fully Covered Body Armor". Assault Rifle, Machine gun whatever it shoots fast it's a machine gun to me.

I consider those part of her health, because of the auto-use feature. They're indistinguishable.

Use Ice Beam to freeze him, then charge a Plasma beam, attack, switch to Super Missile, attack, Master Chief is dead.

Well, seeing as that would require he somehow travel from Coagulation or Lockout to Earth, I find that to be highly unlikely.

Then they're fighting on Turf. That map is close to where you find the Scarab Gun
