Yeah, I was only still playing since I wanted to get last level, I already beat the bosses long ago. The spells for rogue seemed to be ok, but I think loot should give more then 25 gold considering how far in you need to be to get it. I don't know about other heroes, since all the other ones left and I was only rogue.

Unlike Steal, Loot can be used even after the Lairs are destroyed. Considering that the Giant Rat gives 25 Gold and is the lowest-paying normal monster (the Tourney Dummy doesn't count as a regular monster), 25 was thus what I decided to use. Besides, considering the fact that the Rogue doesn't need Mana for offensive spells until L15, by the time you get to Loot it may be the only spell you would need to use (Poison lasts without drain), and so +25 Gold for every monster killed should be sufficient.

To-do for 1.5
  • Show Hero and Palace Levels in leaderboard
  • Show King income in leaderboard by manipulating Experience count
  • Add a message when game starts telling Heroes to hotkey Starport for spells and read the mission objectives

After this, I'll do colors and upgrades beyond lvl 3.

Well its an interesting map, but I had a question.

It seems like you give the units away to a computer player before instantly giving all buildings back and adding money.

My question is how you got it to give all buildings back at seeming the same time.

I built like 50 spawning pools in a row and they all seemed to happen at the same time.

Was it copying a trigger many times with the same triggering conditions and actions? Or some other way? Did you give them back one at a time? Or many back at the same time?

Thanks

Using binary increments (powers of 2), the cycle runs once for up to 63 of the same buildings.

E.g. Say a player has 25 inns. The trigger runs once for "16-31" (giving away 16 inns and adding cash for 16 inns), once for "8-15" (give 8 and add money for 8), and once for "1" (the single-building income), in the same trigger cycle, which is instaneous. In other words, it was many at the same time, but without the need to make a condition for every scenario.

The original post has a download for an unprotected version. The triggers are under Force1 (Majesty and Heroes), the heading ">>Majesty>>>>" and the subheading ">Revenues".

Yea, I just couldn't find, which player held the triggers. Now there it is. Thanks.

I was figuring that you were doing something like that.

Ok, I fixed some tiny things that were screwing up, and actually tested the map out this time for a change. 1.5d is up and running.

All the extra features now work perfectly.

I give this a 9/10. This game has great creativity and originality... and just the simple fact that it was made with just StarEdit, it goes to show how imaginative the creator is...

The only thing that I noticed was that monsters later began to have a trail running from top left to bottom right. Now that may be randomized as well, but just the fact that the units are being ordered between two locations gave it less computer AI. Randomization could be done as easily as it could be done on something like x-tra edit, if I remember correctly.

Anyhow, good friggin' job smile.gif

The monsters patrol from Lair to Lair. Since the Lairs are randomly placed, the patrol routes would technically be as well. There are circumstances when an undesired loop will be created (usually not, since the patrol route ends at the Palace), but they will be very rare. However, it's still due to the fact that it's truly random.

I had once thought of using the Wraith Grid system to randomize a Patrol To location, but dropped the idea when I saw that what I had before (and still have now) works very well too, and with much less hassle.

When i ment by remix i had a map idea while i was shuffling through the snow.

Orignally it was gona be a medeivl kind of map like yours fred but with more enchanments like the units are entitled lvl1-5 and at certain lvls you get better units like here are some ideas.

lvl8- 10 intell (some thing to represent it) gives u basic mage
lvl9- 15 dex can give you archer
lvl11- 25 strengh gives u warrior
lvl10- 10 dex and 5 strengh gives you theif

So i got the map layed out yet it should be on maps in progress so im not giving to much away.

ill explain what those certain things mean.

The king can build certain buildings that alow them to be such things.

Archery- they go by light armour but have good acuracy ( monsters have armour so archers have big attack.)

Arsenal arena takes a while to build but when a plyer chooses that path they get good armour defence and attack but lack some dex ( accuracy)

Theif city- last building thats at the end but you are overally good ( nice atk accuracy and defence)

Great foreset (pixie house) is always avaible at begining but you really on speacil atks more then wepon (till lvl11 you can buy a staff)

So there you have it a layed out plan im still thinking as i walk to school.

I've got some bad news.

When I bought my new hard drive last December, I trashed the SC folder in the old one. I don't think I have an up-to-date unprotected version of Majesty anymore. pinch.giftongue.gif

I've gotten a bit of negative feedback, but "hard" was not one of them.

This was just a small RPG I whipped up in a month for Syphon's contest, I just like it for its replayability.

But yes, I am thinking of creating a new map. Not an RPG this time.
