Let's see, I became a member of September '05. However, I've frequently been browsing this site and stopping by the SEN channel on east for at least a year...

I really don't see a difference in older members and younger ones, just individual differences.

Remember many of those names? Many of them are now either well respected members, retired, or have changed alot (such as name changes and/or clan changes.)

I'm pretty recent.

Age of a memebr doesn't really determine his attitude or opinions, but there is a definite separation. I tend do disregard how long a member has been around. Most of the old memebrs are awesome, though. SEN must have been really cool.

What I don't like is a sort of elitist type attitude- Older members tend to respect only older members and don't tend to mix with the "lower caste" of SEN. Perhaps for good reasons, but perhaps for bad ones. Look at Shadow-Paladin. Look at Puni. Look at Slyence. All are old members, yet all were banned/permanntly suspended from forums. Equally, you could also look at a generation of newer, immature members, and the rise of spammers like YaeXirillion. However, I have noticed that some people I truly respect such as Syphon, people who joined recently but can keep a cool head, are not in places such as the High Templar Forum. I sometimes feel that old member have created a kind of "club" where nobody who joined recently is allowed in. Of course, my view is somewhat skewed, since I myself only joined in March 2005.

Well...Members do have a different decision view since older members become their friends and the newer people become themselves...

Someone is a little slow on the uptake.

I post in null, but prefer Lite, as it's more discussion based.

I said false but now I realize that it's usually true, except on stuff like SEN Survivor (first season I made it to top four, then I got owned by Hitok1r1's guys sad.gif)Anyways, it kind of depends on the issue. If it's something that would be in the "Other" section of SeN, s lot of that stuff is mixed. But, if it has anything to do with SeN or Starcraft, the older members are usually against the newer members, because they generally know more. You should have put this in Lite Discussion Kame, lol.

P.S. According to DTBK's list, I'm an uber n00b member, since I joined I think August 4th, 2005. sad.gif

ADDITION: Also, shouldn't there be a new generation now, since most of the others in in six month increments? shifty.gif whistling.gif

My my my...you make me feel really damn old. 2+ years already?

Yeah, I've kinda left SEN. Due to a few factors, like too much homework, and no time for play (no more SC for me anymore...).

I blame Kame for linking me here. How many 1st gens are still here and active?

QUOTE(Centreri @ Jan 4 2006, 03:14 PM)
Yep.

I'm a older newbie sad.gif.

I think it is sometimes divided, most younger members don't care about SEN as much, so sometimes those who were here longer and the younger ones conflict. The ones who were here longer usually win.

I care about the fate of sen, but that might be because I'm inherantly neutral and good. Being this evil takes alot of will pwoer for me, so enjoy it while it lasts.

mellow.gif I'm older than Devilesk! I vaguely remember the server crash, I think I joined right before it occured. I wasn't very active until later, though.

Politically, I see no difference in opinions, but when it comes to site matters, I see a huge difference (as previously stated)

A little over a week older doesn't make a difference, especially when my post count rapes yours! tongue.gif

But post count doesn't matter much at all, and neither does join date smile.gif

I'm an older newbie.. tongue.gif

A lot of the members do have different opinions. People like YaeXirillion who was new spammed a lot, and didn't care as much about Sen. Although the people in the older generation talk in an orderly fashion and don't spam. Even though people like Slyence got banned.. for some reason...

I also think regular should be based on join date and things other then post count. They may spam or get there way to regular quick, but they probably won't have as much respect, as some of the other regulars do.
