ACTHPH! PLEASE! The Big Bang theory does not say that the universe was the size of a boulder or anything else; it was a singularity: an infinitely small, infinitely dense point. It expanded faster than the speed of light because of something called "inflation", and because the laws of physics were hazy at that point. If it is false, then why do we detect radiation with no possible source other than being left over from it? And to answer the question of "how did it explode?" I say this: When you have a U-238 atom (Uranium), no external stimulus is necessary to make it decay. Basic forces do that.

Incidentally, Gradius: the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics does not contradict evolution. The net entropy of a system increases over time, yes, but living organisms increase the entropy of their surroundings to decrease their own. And if you're calling thermodynamics to contradict theories, consider that human thought would seem to defy that law. That's why part of the definition a a scientific theory is that there needs to be a way for it to be proven wrong.

Pressure can, and FYI U-238 is a radioisotope of Uranium, atoms don't have to be. I believe there's also U-235, U-237, and of course U-236. (Hasn't checked.)

Yes, yes, pressure or other things can, but that's not really the point...

Don't come in here and insult anyone.  Wikipedia is written by people other than the Administrators there.  It could be biased.

I like Wikipedia so I'll just add this in:
It's not biased. Everything on the site is fact and if the adminstartor believes there is any kind of biasnses towards any article it's not accepted. And if opinions are in the article and gets accepted then a large warning appears at the top of the artile saying "Warning: Opinions are expressed in this page, and may not be factual" or something along th elines.

Please.. The big bang theory tells a story of how existance appeared because of an explosion. How could a boulder have existed to blow up if there was no existance?

It's not a boulder, it's a large mass. And it tells us how the universe was made. Obviously it has some holes but it's better then "It's just there".

I was saying the Mp)Marine was wrong when he said:

Ummm thats not the theory of the big bang...The theory tells a story about how a gigantic boulder in space one day decided to implode and exhale small pieces of rocks (huge to us) that we call planets. The cause of the implosion is unknown but we do know that it forced the planets to spread around the milky way. As time passed on, these planets started to show signs of life and had some source of scenery.
