For the sake of argument, let's say that no matter which way you change this test, you keep getting the same result.
There is STILL a problem with it. Suppose you lived in a in a giant cube. White walls on all 6 sides, each with a slightly different tint, but they overall look the same as each other. So you live in this area for years, everything the same. Then suddenly, a giant blue splotch of paint comes outta nowhere and hits the wall.
This is the first time you've seen a different color. What would your initial thoughts be?
You see, Kellimus, it does have to do with association. The closer something is to what you usually see, the faster you get used to it. If a giant white sploch of paint hit the wall, you'd be just as curious as with the blue splotch, but you'd get used to it faster. Likewise, when a new kid comes into your class. The better he blends in, the faster he becomes a part of the norm. "Color of your skin" is just another parameter that needs to get crossed.
The main point is
Not all blacks are easily accepted in a white school, but not all white people are either! "Color" is just one of the many things. There's also age, height, body build, social skills, intelligence.. the list goes on.
Anyways, Kellimus, the reason I'm even posting this is because it claims that I have a strong favor of white people over black people; not just "a little", not just "moderate", a STRONG favor.
I hardly know any black people, then again, where I go to school there's hardly any black people to know. I remember the first time I saw a black person with extremely dark skin. Did I hate him? No. Did I want to avoid him? Not really. Literally what happened is my eyes went buggy, just like when you're outside and the the brightness changes so fast so you can't look straight.
Although I didn't think this at the beginning, I think the conclusion I'm getting to is a the flaw in the test. You need to have sociable interaction with BOTH SIDES before being able to make a judgment with this test. Why? Because if you put the picture of RonaldMcDonald and Melchizadek together, people will have no association with Melchizadek while everyone will associate with RonaldMcDonald.
Does that mean people hate Melchizadek? No, it just means people like Ronald.
"Oh," Kellimus proclaims. "but hate is the vague word here. People more like Ronald than Melchizadek, or less hate Ronald than Melchizadek. It's from a relative standpoint, not an actual scale like this:
Hate<-----N/A---->Love
You may have no standpoint on black people, possibly, but relatively you less hate white people than black."
Yeah, that could be true. That actually would explain the quiz a lot better. But then, if that's true, it's not really a "Racism IQ" as CaptainWill said. I don't "hate" black people, but I'm just more used to white people!
That solves everythin..... wait... CaptainWill made a mistake? AHHH THE END OF THE WORLD IS NIGH!!!!! TO THE BUNKERS!!!!!!!!!!
