SaLaCiouS, you may call everyone moron when really only moron here is you because name calling is low so in my books your scum and maybe if ya ask tux explain to you what it ment "war comes to the sovereign nations of this world" im sure make more sense to ur small mind. Please don't call people moron's because down right stupid.

Yea, Golden-Fist, that's why I insulted the trailer and not what he was planning to do in the map. Also, I specifically said I was "infer"ing that the guy talking was a demon. That means I was guessing. But it should be pretty obvious, as it seems that whoever is talking is the one who opens up a portal to release DEMONS into the world. So he is, logically, a demon himself.

Yea you better walk away. And stop stealing my quotes Xeno. I spent 30 minutes ranting about how Dabbu's map saying that. "like omg I must have orgasmed at least 7 times". I KNOW you were there too. My bot sees all. Huahah...

EDIT: Moogle, I am well aware of how low name-calling is. It was necessary to give the effect I needed. Also, I know what that phrase means, that wasn't even the phrase I was insulting. I was talking about how the demons are coming to slay the enemies of peace, which makes no sense, because that isn't what demons do.

EDIT AGAIN: I decided to change it to say "acting like morons". Go Moogle.

I think bigger picture with the demons, something do with mage or somewhat mind controlling them. Kinda like Lotr why do orcs attack? Because der master told them to.

QUOTE(Salacious(U))
The introduction's text seems to infer that some sort of great demon (or daemon in this case, which I find idiotic) is going to "slay the enemies of peace" when "war comes to the sovereign nations of this world". That makes no sense whatsoever.

Youre a censored.gif in dumbass. The guy talking isnt a demon. Where the hell did you get that from. And its a trailer....it did exactly what it was supposed to do. The music was great and i have a good idea of what the actuall map will be like.

Edt: I noticed that everyone spells effect "affect".

Alright, I suppose there could be a non-demon non-pure-evil character controlling the demons. That never even occured to me because I don't think that any fictional universe should allow something like that to happen. Demons shouldn't be controllable. They are rogue chaos-bringers who only listen to Satan or whatever Demon Leader them. But even if the person controlling the demons isn't COMPLETELY evil, he would have to be at least somewhat evil to control demons. And even somewhat evil people don't try to stop wars. They sit back and watch the blood shed.

Dawg, who is it then? Someone who can summon up demons apparently. The logical choice for someone who can summon demons? A leader demon. Yep, the map did exactly what it was supposed to do. A little music and stuff blindly thrown at the viewer, and everyone is hooked. It merely enhances the degradation of society by proving that a nice shiny coating beats giving out information about what he's "selling" us when it comes to advertising.

I think that it wasn't a daemon talking I think that it was the queen that you see at the end (or someone else). I'm geussing that she/he went somewhere and has returned to find a nation at war or and hass coming back to reclaim her/his land and restore peace hence the

The spelling of demon/daemon switches all the time.

After checking dictionary.com

dai·mon also de·mon or dae·mon
n. Greek Mythology

1. An inferior deity, such as a deified hero.
2. An attendant spirit; a genius.
looks like they are the same exact thing anyway! <3

Shadow I see the logic in what you have said. However, based on the information we have been given, I find what my theories on the storyline to be more logical. Moogle plans to ask Tux who is talking, that should settle that.

EDIT: As for the spelling of Demon, I find it similar to how "Magic" is spelled. Sometimes it's spelled "Magick" and people claim that means it's older magic. Also "Mage" and "Magi" are two differently spelled things that mean pretty much the same thing. In the end, for that example, I believe "Magician" and "Magic" are the only real words. The rest are created by people developing fictional universes.

lol.

Music: Requiem of a Dream, LotR RotK trailer (and another movie before that, I think)

A&O: Alpha and Omega. It'll make more sense in the context of the story.

Password System: 1 or 2 numbers, each binary digit place will store information from the quest (though I'll have it with encryption and validation so you won't be able to cheat or enter in random numbers to get random characters).

Beginning Quote: Comes from a hero-type guy from the past who plays a role later in the story.

That's all you get to know about it for now.

Hey Tux, I was just wondering, as you develop your map/story, do we get to see the progress (screenshots, etc.) or are you going to kepe us waiting till' the Fall? biggrin.gif

I download at like 2.2kbps per second on my 56k with censored.gif ty phone lines and I DLed that faster then 7 minutes.

Ok ... crap. Tux is ripping off that old dude in WC3. WC3 sucked because of him and somehow I don't see this as being any better...

*drool* drool.gif This Was Uberpumped with great timing!! The Music goes exatcly with whats going on! And the special effects are awsome O.o
Report, edit, etc...Posted by SaLaCiouS(U) on 2004-07-25 at 16:49:23
Can someone please tell me how so homogenous a song can be "timed perfectly" ? There's really only the introduction which is slow, allowing for some time for a text intro. Then later on there is the quiet "sad" part which allowed for a short little scene with some "Androms" walking through crystals. Then it slowed down again at the end... wow...... how hard that must have been to time.

Also, could you guys please tell me what special effects were so awesome? Was it the part where the enemy units... attacked eachother? Maybe it was the part where the defilers WALKED AWAY from "Niloc". Of course, removing a defiler, killing a hallucination, and creating a Dark Tempalr is also a masterpiece in map triggering... Then again everyone LOVED the ENDING... PRE PLACED UNITS... that must have been terribly difficult to trigger. Oh wait... that doesn't require triggers now does it? The only scene that required any skill at all was the Speeder Bike scene with the "Heat Wave" effect.

SaLaCiouS: Wow you have alot say don't ya about the effects and stuff -_- well i liked how it was all put togetter how its like perfect timing n all. Also had nice setup going scene to scene n showing lil parts from his upcoming rpg. Ending was pretty cool just see big ass army (shame none died)

SaLaCiouS(U)
if u said that at begining then i would've relized earlier that the map was really easy to make, and the begining of Requim For A Dream is some guy like yodaling so i think he edited to the certain part he wanted. i really think the last 2 minutes of the song is much better then what he put.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by SaLaCiouS(U) on 2004-07-25 at 19:41:28
YES! I have gotten through to one person. A little.. kind of. Where there is one, more will follow...

As for the music, yea it's pretty obvious that's not the whole song. Music like that is 4-8 minutes (USUALLY) and this was only like 2 minutes. Not to mention somebody, maybe it was Golden, found the music already...
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Golden-Fist on 2004-07-25 at 20:17:30
I've had that song ever since i saw something on newgrounds i just fell in love with it its so cool. Which is werid seeing how i also listen to Linkin Park and Evanescene....leave me alone

I find the timing a lil hard to do though, but thats just me.

Seriously guys if u think about it it's not that hard to create THAT TRAILER. Im sure the movie will be harder.
