ok good i was worried about that... although a pirate open rpg wou;ld be cool... Do what you want... hire your crew/ ships... eventualy take over cities and islands...

Ideas For Improvement On Terrain...
Screen of The Docks:
It looks good but mabe have some sprites of jungle trees hanging where you messed up the terrain... It would look better...
Screen Of Ship:
I like the mast and the upper deck area. Im guessing the siege tanks are Cannons... Im guessing there isn't anyone on the ship because you havent hired crew?
Will you have a below deck area?
Because ur Mast is made of sprites... couldnt people just walk right through it?
I think by the size of your mini map that this will be a pretty big map... How will you do ship battles...

Also i havent done any trigs yet, so crew hiring and stuff isnt available

As far as ship battles go, thats disclosed for now.
I put DTs where the mast is, so u cant walk through it.
Nice screen shots, although i did notice several bugs (hope your gonna fix em).

Lookin good. The terrain can use a little work. Looks like your tryin something new with it, nothing rong with that, just reduce some blockyness.
Besides that the screens look awesome, and the idea is great and well planned. This map will rule.
Edit: Oh yea, you might wanna cloak or "Disable" the beacon, cause it looks a little outaplace and amatureish... A cloaked beacon would look pretty sweet, and it won't be as vibrant.
Cloaked beacons are not everything, and its a personal view of their appearance on the screen, i think both versions are not pleasing to the eye.
Hmm... what if he places the beacon more under the carrier instead of the carrier's shadow?

I know their not everything. I'm just saying, through my eyes, it would look better.
I mean you can't play a UMS map without a beacon in it. Mine as well make the beacon different if your trying different things anyway. Just gets old seeing a beacon over and over again, on almost 90% of the UMS maps.
Dont worry im gonna disable the doodad state on the beacons, i havent done this yet cause I'm not doing triggers yet. Still doing terrain. Thanks for the supports guys.
_Not to forget, special details in a map are not the core of a map. If there's anything you value least and do last it should be special details.
_The only real reason I see cloaked beacons as benefactor for gaming is that they're unclickable. Instead of wasting a location, you could rather place a sprite beacon which is also unclickable, but doesn't waste a useful location.

You should ther use a beacon and disable it... or make a sprite beacon... I say dont make it cloacked... Some people would find it harder to see... Just disable it so people knwo somethings there and not just a glowing thing barely visable in the water

Wow, the screens are impressive. I don't know if its just me but the choice of text colors for unit isn't very eye pleasing. Maybe you can use a style of text coloring (stick to it through out the map) to give it a more sophisticated look? Well maybe it's just me because no one else has mentioned that..

Edit: A better word for giving your text coloring a "style" is theme. Stick to a theme, and your map will look better

I liked the dock the way he has the sign there... It actualy looks like it belongs there...
I agree about the text colors... An idea yould be Have the First Letter of both his names...(the B's) and make them blue... Then have the rest of the name white...
Then Leave the word Rifle in Gray
This map is starting to have some promise...

_This map has stood out to me a lot, I was making a map Piracy of Valor for a while but the project sort of died when [T] died and then short after my computer was reformatted so I lost my maps. It was space type though, the Valor was the name of these Pirate's ship that had crashed.
_So far, my favorite part is the ship in the sea built from terrain. I figured you would do something like people always do, instead of something more original like that. It really does look great man.

I can't wait to see what a ship battle on it would lok like... Mabe you could find someway to clim the mast? I doubt its possiable thou because of the ship battles you would need to add another area but it would be weird...
You still should think about my going under the deck idea..
I havent read every reply, and im sure you have probably already got this covered , but what about when you steal things, if you have 0 minerals, and nithing else can be taken from you, will you use that negative minerals and gas that dk(i think) Came u with, or are you gaing to amke the person returnm the item or what
