Ok, are we complaining that the ladder is ruined because of the hackers, or just that it's sad that they can get away with it? I got a little lost about it..

No, I knew people who used maphack when testing online with me and another friend.

Doesn't make you a bad person but DOES make you a hacker wink.gif

I downloaded maphack to test my map "Scary"'s maphack prevention (details not given wink.gif )

But I deleted it shortly after. It aint fun when you have an advantage. I might as well be rigging my maps.

Isnt it just adding some independent starport or whatever they are called and hide them? Then if the maphacker see them he crash?

No not really, mine deals with triggers and whatnot.. and they'd have to look directly at the crash unit to crash their game.. but thats good idea for a 64X64 map or people with roaming eyes.. B)

You make something that if they see it the game crashes, but 5 minutes into the game all players vision goes to that area. Maphackers will be dropped.
EDIT:Changed 1/4 into 5 minutes.

That'd be it. I place it in locations you aren't supposed to see, and its everywhere!

also force everyone to look at it everytime you use move screen smile.gif

They can do that, but the game is virtually impossible to play like that, and its no fun.

Wouldn't it be easier to just put start locations around it? That way the hackers will see it at the beginning...or is that what you meant?

Maphack doesn't have to be on when you start the game. You can switch it on at any time.
