You know all those ladder hackers on USeast? I got pissed one day, and sent them this:

They sent me a huge email, but I'll highlight the key points.



Geez. I thought they'd have the decency to anwser why they haven't done anything. I think they've dropped support for SC 100%.

its not a hack its a winbot if you look at my stats i have 9999 lol ppl just get another cdkey put it in the bot put their cdkey and their username in the bot and every 125 seconds BOOM they get a win/ladder win.

It just shows you that recs lie and blizzard doesn't do ####.



ya how long is that suppose to be? They like just made an icon for War3 FT. They get slower and slower...



I was wondering when they would finish... about a year or so after they put it up... that's pretty slow!

Well anyway back to the topic: Hacks

No one can hack their account. It's IMPOSSIBLE since the records are stored in 'Blizzard's' database and not your computer. You know all these map hacks, stack hacks, drop hacks, etc. They just edit the running process LOCALLY. Like on your computer, deleting the fog of war, unvisioning yourself, changing something to make you 'drop' out of the game... So basically it just edits the running process of your game. If you download something like: gamehex or ramcheat and magic trainer creator, you could easily create your own hacks if you wanted to...

Its still called hacking. And yes you DID hack your account to 9999. Thats what winbot does.



Um, they made that clear to us MONTHS ago when they made a game called WARCRAFT 3. They made if even more clear to us when they made the game WARCRAFT 3 a load of crap.

Basically, they are TOO LAZY to deal with the problem. They're too BUSY with WARCRAFT 3.

Pfft. Don't even start with that "I'm innocent" drivel. Chu is right, it's still hacking, whether you call it a winbot or not. You cheat the Blizzard system, and for what?

That's my personal issue. What's the point of hacking? To increase your record? If people get excited about cheating to make themselves look better, they aren't worthy of our concern anyways.

And i wanted that little picture next to my name ill give myself losses i don't really care. If you click on the 'Ladder' button you'll find that every person in there basically used a winbot -_- :huh:



And how the #### are they trying to do it? THEY'RE NOT! They get tons of emails of how to stop 'hacking' and such but do they use it? nooo... They have some sort of email bot or something just replying the same message to everybody... They don't give a ####.

I totally disagree, hacking is only proving you suck at SC at the point you have to use a "hack" or a "dummy", like you say.



Answer that, first, please. I do not think anyone decent support hacks here, don't be offended, but it is just the way I think in face of such low tools used by people like you...

Basicly, you are saying that hacking is fun. So I take in consideration you may map hack too, since its only "for fun", or stack hack cuz "its fun to see alot of cannons", you will say...

SP brings up a good point. Like I said earlier, all hackers do is increase their records, and it doesn't exactly garner them respect. If I see a hacker, I'm not like, "omg he is teh best." Because he's not.

actually, yea it is fun but there are ways to make 'anti-hack maps'. I have no clue how but i know you can. What about tricks? floating a templar glitch? It's better than a maphack, at least i think so, so you consider floating a templar hacking?

well i think it sux that ppl ruin the ladders but well i dunno i guess noone plays ladder anymore i dunno

and plus the only thing i really see on bnet are comp stomps, money maps, UMS. that's basically it :err:

Honestly, Hacking is half the reason I became a UMS mapper. In UMS, its harder to hack (theres a way to prevent maphack). Besides, it doesnt count to your score.

Then you need to look harder. Simple as that.

Intresting, blizzard doesn't care about starcraft anymore. They care about the new games that are out. Like wc3. I don't see any 9999 wins there. Bak to the subject, i only play ums cause it's like playing a game thats in a game. I still play melee here and there, but the only ppl who like to play are hackers.

Blizzard Sure i love there games But For starcraft they have gave up. They cant be azzed to stop hacker in it.

The only thnig that is keeping starcraft alive is the fact that blizzard allwod the starcraft battle.net alive.

Go to warcraft 3 There are hardly any hacker what so ever.

All ums maps are slower than melee games. I dont see how you can find melee more boring than UMS.

Ya, i got to admit, soon wc3 is gonna old and hacked like sc. Cause a new game like WoW will be out. Blizzard doesn't seem to care anymore, like taz sed its all about the profit. Heres for you taz.

They didn't properly respond to me, and no where in the email is a response to my question.

:err: i agree that starcraft is gettin old.... but! starcraft ghost is coming out soon.... but even though ppl hack its still fun to play with ur friends and ppl u no....

There's really nothing they can do to stop the hackers.
They reset the ladder scores, they hack them back up again.
They can't stop the various bots and such they use to hack... to the Blizzard computers they appear as regular StarCraft users with valid CD-Keys.
Any solution they made would be complex, and thus cost a lot of money, so its not really worth it for them.

Maybe you can't stop the hackers.... but whats the point of doing it, to prove you :badword: suck at starcraft so you need to use a gay bot? Honestly who are they trying to impress... other players, or them selves. If ONE player that hacks can give me one GOOD reason why they hack I'll drop it, but that well never happen.... Cheating is cheating and it will always be like that......
