Second thing: NOOOOOOO! If we tell Blizzard, won't they make a patch to get rid of all this? What positive benefit is there to telling Blizzard?

I'm not sure if blizzard can get rid of this, wouldn't they have to redo all the memory stuff to fix it? Or is there a way they can just disable it..

I don't see why they would want to remove this, it's just triggers, and it only works in UMS I think.

im pretty sure if they wanted to they could patch this, maybe by detecting when there is a suspicious dynamic memory change? caused by suspicious triggering? thus crashing sc? but yeah i would assume it would be a censored.gif for them to wanna do, but then again they probably have a room full of losers to do it. happy.gif

It should be quite easy for Blizzard to prevent us from using extended triggers by disabling access to extended units/triggers like it is for P9&co. And I don't think we need to tell Blizz about it, either someone has done it already (WHOOOOAAAAAA, A SHIELDED RINE!!!! I'LL TELL BLIZZ ABOUT THIS NEW HACK!!!! - some similar post already appeared on Blizzforums) or Blizzard got to know about it some other way. But hopefully they don't think it's necessary to patch SC because of this...

They might try to patch it simply for the fact that it crashes mac users...

If they knew any better though, they wouldn't... I mean this is bringing back sc users to SC. Just think... qPirate showed interest in these... joining up again. As did another highly popular guy I talked to via msn...

These trigs are "reviving" SC.

great, there is a thread on blizzard, about "impossible has been found" or something, the name is SEN_ something.. urgh.. that sucks..

Btw, someone tell me the trigger how to make Interceptors Carriers? (so interceptors fire more interceptors)

I would be happy if someone told me the exact trigger.

I'm currently making a map that, would benefit quite a bit if I could figure out how to change the Units weapon, I've seen the wraith, I've read the triggers I just don't understand. Can anyone explain this to me or help me?

Not sure which offset actually changes the graphic, I would guess "Sprite" in sprites.dat.

The firebat default weapon is 1A - Flame thrower, look at the list.

Bad example? Maybe there's a typo -- I'll look into it.

No, changes affect all units for all players of that type.

MemCalc (3.0) now has a "convert to SF trigger form" function. Stick in the data you get from the calculator to make your trigs.

Wait a minute... are you saying that UberEdit already has the ability to edit terrain? Did you test? Could you show us an example map? *hyperventilates*

ADDITION: Could we add for example, an attack to the Defiler? Or an ground attack to the Valkyrie? Because, if I recall correctly, they have an iscript entry for attacks.

I just found out ALOT about attack and how to change it. Im makign a list for it in the SF style of doign it!. I need to know the numbers that do the stuff found on the left of the trigger in SF. Thats what i want sowmone to tell me what to do! Not a Hex tutorial... thats gay. did you know i found a SC beta attack!? that was the atack of the defiler! Im goign to make a rpg with these affects later on! Im happy this is awsoem now wil some one tell what this means and what are the other numbers that this!

The "unheard of" Starcraft weapons. Any missing bit in a list is also a unused or unknown item.

In the SF Trigger generator, ignore the spaces.

Yes, as long as it has an Iscript.

Remeber Air and Ground attack are different iscripts.

Memcalc works awesome. I just used it. And the new byte-to-trigger thing answers my original question perfectly.. it de-noobifies us all. And wow, was I doing the adding all wrong. To add 2 to byte 2 you need to actually add 512 (256+256), not 257 (256+1) in the trigger duh me -_-

You (DK) also pointed out another important nuance (with SetTo/Adding deaths). Using Add, you can be sure you change only one units stats.. I think this is why when I give a ling guns, the ultralisk also gets guns. (or maybe the setdeaths trig changes ALL weapons of the same type i.e. zerg melee attacks?) Anyway just thinking out loud here.. gotta go home and try doing the triggs the right way n see what happens

ps. So ppl stop asking the question, Can't change unit for type FLINGY?? in MemCalc

Why not have an auto-populating drop down list, so it shows only the available Objects for the selected .dat file

When I start on MemCalc 4.0 it will include a full online Arsenal III-type editor which generates triggers. smile.gif

Setting deaths affects the whole 4-byte long.

Anyway with the screenshots that DK submitted about the cheat enables I noticed there were a few unknowns. I REALLY want to know what they do uberwoot.gif

And I want to know if its possible to make a sheild on a unit anything else but 100 when enabling it on a unit. Also can someone show me how to make a truly custom unit using these triggers for example a zealot with cloak AND stim. If someone can do that then theres another big step for the SC community.

Tearshed, you can edit the shield amount through the trigger thing or u can change the shield amount by typing it in SF's unit properties thing.

Pauper, use MemCalc. i know that each of them work, cuz i was able to change a firebat's hp to 5000 then to 2500 every 5 seconds, and i was able to change the Wraith's air attack into the Gauss Rifle.

1) This was like perfected when the mem calc was updated...
2) there is no poitn in making a list, the mem calc can do most of it (cept for the minor P9-13 prob)
3) that attack has been known since forever lol
3) there are multiple numbers and you change the player to change the unit but you dont have to know that if you just use the mem calc AND just wait for uberedit. it should be sexy.
