It was cool see all that effects that worked perfectly and all in the same map and like at the same time. Also I liked the idea of the opening. That screen movement with the islands, then cliffs, I really liked it. The effects wasnst so awesome, but used with the terrain, other units, etc looks nice. The scarab thing with the kaydarin crystal formation looked nice. Also the preplaced units is an idea that I didnt see before in any map, maybe because is a waste of time/map resources, dunno, but it looked cool. I think that the ideas and how you combine everything is more important that the tricks that you use.

I think if Tux did the ending of the song instead mid way through it would end much cooler because it goes up really powerful with a bunch of music then it just stops if u listen to it and think of a battle scene its very cool

Bingo. Something I've learned after a gazillion intensive trigger maps that few people seem to like is that good maps (and games) are usually far more than the sum of their parts. Graphics, music, story, characters, etc. cannot make up for a good flowing, seamless, dynamic, fun game. But don't worry, this'll have hefty sum for its 'parts' as is, as I'm not one to skimp on content.

Hence the popularity of shoddy maps like "OMFG THE ZERGLINGS" and "Don't Click the Flag". These maps are more popular then any of the high quality maps. It's all about Fun Factor, little else matters after the first run through.

for one, im not even going to respond to your post golden-fist, i hope you are warned by yoshi for flaming. For 1, the song is named lux aterna, The movie is named requiem for a dream. Every song you download off the net usually tells u the name of the author then the name of the song (i.e. Union Underground - Revolution Man) in this case it only tells u the name of the movie. if you want, go on kazaa, and type "LUX ATERNA" in the search file. If only staredit.net sucked, i would go off on ur a$$. but SEN doesnt. *attempt at sucking up to yoshi* lol

Why yes SiLeNT that is in fact why I registered. Critisizing maps is constructive as long as you are pointing out some specfic thing that you don't like. Saying "This map sucks big fat hairy dog #$(!" for example, is not constructive. Saying "don't listen to those morons, make the map and don't waste time on more trailers" is, however, constructive. I will never insult anything that is 100% unchangeable, as there is no point. But, if what I say can influence a person to improve what he is doing, then by God I shall! *American Anthem Plays*
Anyway, I really don't have any idea what the song is named or not, but Golden-Fist is getting ticked because he's so sure of the name and everyone keeps telling him he's wrong. Granted he has been wrong in the past, a lot... and said stupid stuff, but I gotta love his maddened single minded aproach. Reminds me too much of myself.

What is there, is wonderful. But to say that it is the best map ever created, which I have seen so many peopel doing, is ludacris. It's a fairly simple product meant to entice the viewer into wanting to play his upcoming RPG, and it seems to be doing the job quite nicely. I am still angry about everyone getting so worked up and saying the trailer is so gosu and no one could do it but Tux. It's like.. move units.. play wav... hurray!
