Hey I'm a Pretty Average Map Maker and I just wanna say What you're Planning will take more then just you. You're gonna have to call in Map Makers That have Done Amazing Things in Short Periods of time(Just to prove how Effecient they are)
I defenitely reccommend talking to Blizard about this, seeing if they can do it... Make it an Always Open game. And i commend you for even attempting Something as good as this. This is only something the Best Could Pull off, Goodluck to yyou I hope it Goes Well.
P.s. Try to Keep the Map Under 5 Megabytes
#2 P.S. I Once Tried to Make a Final Fantasy tactics Battle Style Map, but it came out as More then 2 Megs!! It was quite the annoyance. I eventually Trashed it, but now i see that With a Little String Re-adjustment, it could've worked. So this makes me Believe you're Very Capable of Doing this. Goodluck to yah

I dont think blizzard will be able to do anything, theres an 8 player max, and the map will be based on 8 players so people cant join in

Blizzard definitely wont do anything for you. I tried to ask for them to add variables to the editor... all I got was a some sputter from other people saying how "blizzard wont do much to the game that is 7 some odd years old...", so the open end rpg thing wont be happening, and I can see the definite glitches involved with an open end rpg... looks grim...
