First of all, it's not 6 months. 4 at most. Second of all, yes I would wait. I'm not going to use XBox 360 just because the console I want isn't out, I'm going to wait. The fact is that people buy consoles spefically for the games, if they went for the power then Xbox would have the market now and PS3 would have it later. That is why I will be getting the PS3 and NR, and not the 360. Because I want to play the games that come out for those, not the 360.

I didnt say that. How much power a console has does not define how much better it is compared to others. The PS2 is better than the XBox.

Yea, i read in the newspaper some time ago which compared the stats of the ps3 to the xbox360. And sadly, ps3 owned the xbox....

But like someone said earlier (i think), it's not how good the system is that counts, it's how the good the games are that count.

i would rather get the system with better games and better features hence x box 360

Better games? Thats based on opinion. Better features, we don't have a comprehensive list of features in both consoles yet, but as of right now PS3 shows that it has more capability to have better features, it already supports more players and games than 360 does.

Okay the way I see it, is that the Playstation has been around longer than XBox. It was a big hit and was around for years, but then they stepped it up a notch with Ps2. But XBox's first try was major ownage and sold WAY more than Sony could imagine. Then Sony came out with the Psp, but that still didn't work. Sony has made three consoles, and Microsoft has only made one, and it's still on top with a majority of the people. I just don't see why you guys are wasting your time with Ps, because XBox is the pwnerz!!1four!!11!1!!!

haha, I serioulsy hate people who still think that Xbox has pwned in sales. To tell you the truth, Xbox is the least sold in other countries. Sony is still pwning in America with a wide variety of games but Xbox is just pwning with PS2 games stolen and changed into Xbox games, or just like 5 exclusives.

So, basically, you're saying Sony is stupid? Killzone should be the least of my expectations for Next generation games... WHY THE HELL WOULD THEY RELEASE SOMETHING THAT WON'T MAKE A BIG IMPROVEMENT? Same with Microsoft then. Sony's PS2 is about 35 more times powerful than the PS2 and the graphics would be so much better. I'd say if Xbox was better if it really was, but in my opinion, I think that PS2 is better.

Wow...I'm actually considering going for the Ps3.
I stuck so hard to the Xbox because, hardware wise, it was undeniably the champion, and thus had much greater potential.

But with Ps3 actually winning....wow.

The longer this ongoing war between the three giants continues, the better it is for us gamers. Competition=Improvement.

Games and systems will evolve and develop faster, and by general rule of thumb:
The more companies battling=the cheaper the prices.

If Microsoft was to slaughter Sony and Nintendo, (or buy them....heaven knows they have enough money), Microsoft would be free to slack off, and focus more on making money than on putting out a superior product, with only PCs as competition. Inferior hardware, and ridiculous prices for everyone. Not fun.

The same thing applies to the other companies. Competition is a GOOD thing, so don't condemn anyone to death! ANYONE!

D, He didn't say that Xbox had way more sales than Sony. He said that Xbox had way more sales than Sony EXPECTED.

A company with no hardware history such as Microsoft, jumping into the game that late, Sony/Nintendo weren't expecting as much competition as was experienced from the Xbox.

Just saw the screenshots. Aesthetically-wise, I think both systems look really nice. Silver seems to be flooding the market, but hey, whatever. But the controller design for the Ps3....what the hell!? I laughed so hard. I have dial-up, so the picture was loading slowly, from top to bottom, as always. When it got to the controller, my thoughts were "hey, not bad. Kinda funky, I like it"....but then it kept loading, with more handle showing.. And loading. And yet still more controller handle. I was laughing so hard....ah, as long as it functions right, looks aren't that important.


OKAY, LAST ONE, I PROMISE:


Not only are you implying that Xbox has a very limited range of games (which is not necessarily true, with RPGs being the exception. Tsk tsk, Microsoft) you are also implying that Sony themselves were personally involved in the production of all Ps2 games. They don't make the games, they buy them from developers. If the developers decide to make a larger profit by releasing the game to Microsoft or Nintendo as well, that's not MS "stealing," they're doing the exact same thing as Sony. Purchasing games from developers.
