Two cops walked into a room with no windows and found a dead man who obviously hung himself from the ceiling, though they couldn't figure out how. There was no chair beneath him that he might have jumped off of, or a table. Just a puddle of water. How'd he do it

More of a Story Riddle
Mona Fisher turned and gazed at Jerry sleeping next to her on the plane. Her eyes wandered down to his wedding band, She still couldn't belive she was marriedto such a catch. Their flight from Acapulco landed late that night, The next morning, Febraury 10, Jerry Fisher shoveled the snow from the driveway, kissed Mona good-bye, and headed off to work. At seven that eveningm a cleaning woman entered the law offices of Fisher & Dyce and discovered the bidy of Jerry Fisher. He has been stabbed to death, a sharp letter opener still sticking out of his chest. Lieuenant Miller's first unpleasant duty was to interview the young lawyer's widow. Mona was distraught. "We were only married four months. I never met a man more romantic and honest. Why would anyone want to kill him?" Jerry's law partner, Kyle Dyce echoed her sentiments. "Jerry was a man I trusted completely, and a darn good lawyer. He was still working when I left. About 6 p.m I walked across to the health club. I didn't work out, just used the tanning bed, I suppose I was jealous of Jerry's great Mexico tan." The lieutenant spent the next hour going through Jerry's papers and discovered that the trusted Jerry Fisher had been skimming money from the law partnership. He also found the phone number of a woman--Gail Lowenski. They located Ms. Lowenski just leaving the art gallery as she managed. The attractive redhead was devastated by the Jerry's death and even more devastated to hear that he'd been married. "We were together just this afternoon, at my apartment. The louse told me he was single. For two months he was stringing me on. I was so sure he was going to propose." Lieutenant Miller and his partner showed up to witness Jerry Fisher's autopsy. "All three of them had motives," the partner whispered as they started at the cold, naked body. "The only trouble is, they didn't know they had motives." "One of them knew," Miller said. "And I know which one."
Whom did the lieutenant suspect and why?Mexico tan, shoveling show? That much snow in Mexico? And there are tanning beds at a Health Club? It was probably whoever said that statement about them being jealouse about his tan. I can't really find out who said that.

Sooo many answers, soooo many wrong, ( POST YOUR RIDDLES IN THE RIDDLE COLOR )
Three men; Alf, Bert, and Con, decide to fight an unusual duel. They will stand at the corners of an equilateral triangle and take turns to shoot. When it is a man's turn he can take one shot at whomever he wants. They will keep taking turns until only one man survives. Now it is known that Alf is the best shot and hits his target 90% of the time, Bert is the second best and hits 75% of the time. Con hits the target only 50% of the time. Lots are drawn and it is decided that Con will shoot first and Bert second (if he has survived). Who should Con aim at and who has the best chance of winning?
Toa5555: About your riddle, is there a leap year among one of the three years?
With leap year: 19808
Without leap year: 19810
EDIT: Con shoots first.

Wow, good job, even though that's not the question to the riddle, in fact, that's what it states before asking the question.
The question is:
"Who should Con aim for and who has the best chance of winning?"
Well, Shotgun, you came close, but...I didnt specify which year so saying both wont help, anyway, i'll just skip that 1, i'll make diffrent ones ( sorry shotgun.. )
Oh sorry, HolySin, I meant to say Con shoots at the first person, in oreder of accuracy, thats what I was thinking.
The solution is that Con will shoot at Arf because of these reasons:
If Con shoots at Bert, Bert will shoot at Arf because Arf is a bigger threat. If he misses, and Arf hits Bert, whom he will shoot, than Con will face Arf. If Con hits Bert, he still faces Arf. If Con hits Arf, he faces Bert, if Con misses, Bert will go for Arf. If Bert misses and Arf hits Bert, than Con is still stuck. But if Bert hits Arf, Con is in his best position; against Bert. Since Bert has a greater chance of hitting Arf than he does, its better to allow him to survive and take a shot at Arf.
The person with the most likliehood of winnign is Bert, because Arf goes last, and both people have an interest in killing him, but only Arf has an interest in killing Bert first. Con is not likely to survive against Arf or Bert because of his accuracy.
You did mention one thing that was key to the answer, but both of your answers are incorrect. The fact that the best shots want each other out.
Answer:
Con should point his gun up into the air and deliberately miss. It's in his best interest that the two best shots shoot it out until only one is left. Then, on Con's turn he has a 50/50 chance of hitting his opponent. If he misses, his opponent could also miss, giving Con another 50/50 chance. This means that Con has the best chance overall of winning the contest and his chance is better than 50/50.
