I spoke to Tux about his map he has some kickass ideas ^_^ i can't wait for full ver or alteast beta or a demo.
same here... the one thing I didn't like about the intro was the lack of showing the Life Preserver (sorry, inside joke)

well i think tux's map was awesome, especially when he put extra effort into the words by making them like 2 diferent colors just to say something, he would also make it appear like "hey" "hey how" "hey how are" "hey how are you". You notice this after watching it 13 times. lol. The only thing that was bad was what some1 said: not enough info about his map, though some of it became clear when he told us what a&o meant.
Im sure a lil more info would be nice like at the end or soemthing it said Alpha & Omega Saga

But trailers dont really tell u the story. Bad trailers take the best lines and scenes from the movie and add them into the trailer. Whicih i see is stupid because theres really no point on seeing the movie if u saw the best parts and lines. So the tralier did what trailers should do

Yeah, in the movie trailers dont tell you too much either, but I want to know a little more about the map!
Hence my post about.. degradation of society.. or something like that. Did I ever post that or just think it? Anyway.. Advertisements such as this one have become less and less about what's actually going on, telling less story, heck, not even tell you the name or the product or whatever. It's all about action because that's what entices people. Visual elements. Doesn't matter what it's about, as long as everyone gets hyped up and plays/sees/eats/etc. it a whole lot, then ok. This will be my last post here until we get a beta or the final or something because I'm sick of talking about the trailer..

Although I agree that the trailer was not very informative, I can see why it is so talked about. In response to Yoshi's post: it wasn't just units moving and .wav file; it was the relative mastery used to combine both music and action.
I thought the trailer was pretty good because it stirred up so much emotion from so many people.

Heh...I was watching The Apples and Oranges Saga...oh um A&O Saga trailer with EzDay2 and Reever and the game was lagging....and the music was so outta place....The muisc finished and it was barely at the part where the Vulture is running from the Ultras....Man did the map look Crappy once the music finished...Roflmao

Tuxedo-Templar does make good maps....almost like he got so much free time on his hands...The Map "Cannon Balls" looks like he maxed locations....it had a location for every disabled Photon cannon and not to mention the player color changing when the cannon balls hit..
As I've said numerous times before: don't watch it with other people or the music will go out of sync. Can't really do anything to fix that, I'm afraid (short of butchering the wav into studdering bits to span the whole sequence). Anyway, for cannonballs there is no way I could have 1 location for each cannon since if you count them there are more than 255. Besides, that'd be the hard way to do it.

Yeah how easy is that, He doesn't even do anything difficult like. . . disableing beacons.
Anyway tux, how long does it take for your cannonballs map to dissable all the cannons? 1? 2? seconds, or shorter? SaLaCiouS(U) seems to think that method would take forever and it is a much better idea to use a location for each spot.

As for the cannons, because I have several triggers at once filled with 3 repeating actions Center location, Disable cannon, Give to diff player, and a preserve trigger + comment, it goes by in 1 hyper stage (read: instantly, except for the detector removal part, which needs at least 120 or so milliseconds). At least, the latest version I have had it like that.
Can someone please attach the map and post it? When I try to download it from the DLDB it says that the map is corrupted. (probably because I couldn't save it in .scx format)

I only read up to the second page, so excuse me if I'm simply speaking out of ignorance. The music is originally from the soundtrack the movie "Requiem for a Dream." Of course The Two Towers did a remix of that song for their trailer. Just thought you might like to know... And yes, all Lord of the Rings music does rock.
