Fortune we are on topic... Were disgussing the system he is unsing...

It actualy depends how many monsters there are because there isn't a point in making a index if there will only be 5or 6 different monsters...

Actually i'm going to use as much monsters as i can... i just need restricted areas for them..

I just need to make room in the map for a place to place the monster(s).

_Void, you have to involve an overlord as one of the metroid. Overlords look a lot like the original metroid.

_You could do something like have a lurker centered under the overlord burrowed and constantly moving to that location, that would be cool. Or have infested terrains or spider mines drop from him, that would also be a tight idea.

_Otherwise, I'm out of ideas at this point. pinch.gif

The best unit for a metriod is the Scourge I think, and you can use the Devourer and/or Queen for bigger metriod's (mutated or something). I don't thing you'll use that units normally in the game so that's the best choice I think.

_You could also do an Mp)3 or qP style boss (metroid) battle. Where it's in sort of an arena and is a structure as the metroid and pleanty of special effects. It could spawn creatures all over; Idk how you would handle it but it would be cool if you added that sort of battle into the map.

_Some maps you could look at to get ideas are Mp)3's Everarcha (I think that's how it's spelled) and qP's LoH. Both of those maps had the type of boss battle I'm referring to in them.

look at metriod prime, i agree With aE[Fortune] it should be an ovelors, only you need to add a location so thata the ovelord "Attaches" To samus

Yes definately the overlord! It even has the tentacles and the round head, the only thing is that its too big so you might have to go with the scourge.

_Scourge could be a different variation of the metroid, like a second spawn of it once you've destroyed it. But I really think it would be the best all around if it started as an ovy.

Scourge is already being used for Shriekbat's

Yeah, Overlord would be best... In Metroid games the Metroid is usually AS big OR bigger then samus.

Putting an arena in will be pretty hard, but i'll do my best to make my own boss idea's. wink.gif

Ok i have made the 'area' of where you will fight the boss, is also the entrance to the next map 'Tales of Lake Shride' (i made up my own world)

The boss battle will be like, when the reaver shoots you, he will teleport OR move to a different location in the cave, and the scarab he shoots, dissapears and 3 more scarabs spawn in random places in the cave and attack you (5 dmg p/scarab), but the War Class Drone can't be damages always, (i will be adding some generators), if the generators are still active, your attacks wont hit him but the attack will show up beside him. IF the generators are destroyed, you an attack him head on, and eventually generators will spawn randomly. The boss will have about;
  • War Class Drone

    HP: 2500
    Attack: 5-15
    Health Regeneration Rate: 5 p/s
And i am using Overlords for Metroids, when they latch onto you, you must morph into Morph Ball (need to find out how to put it in map), then use Bomb to blow it off.
  • Tallon Metroid

    HP: 100
    Attack: 1 p/5 milliseconds
    Health Regeneration Rate: 1 p/s

_My only opinion is that you should give the surrounding crystals to p12 or convert p8's color to p12's neutral blue so that it blends in better. Yellow looks fugly on that minimap, Idk why but I'm big on player colors.

I know that, but the mini-map colour wasnt really on my mind when i was making it.

YAY, someone finally listened to me, to use morph ball you should use a zergling type reload system, and doing it causes all metrioids to latch off of you...maybe that?

Hmmm.. I sort of get what you mean but you didn't explain it that well. What is this 'zergling type reload system'? and how does it work.
FYI: Only 1 Metroid can latch onto you at a time.
