Galactic Federation Trooper Squad Bravo is missing; their last transmission-- a distress call from a rogue planet called Aether, located in the Dasha region.

Enter legendary bounty hunter Samus Aran. Her mission: Locate the Federation troopers and render assistance. But what begins as a search and rescue mission becomes an intense, haunting sojourn to save a species from total genocide in a world caught in the maelstrom between dimensions of light and darkness.

Light Aether is the domain of the Luminoth, gentle beings with a unique and highly developed civilization. But when a great cataclysm tore the fabric of space and time, the Ing Horde were unleashed from Dark Aether, a dimensional echo of Light Aether. Now the Luminoth are under siege. The Ing send armies into Light Aether, absorb its lands into the clutches of Dark Aether, and possess the Luminoth's warriors. Only the Luminoth's four gigantic energy generators keep the Light World from collapsing. If the Ing seize control of the generators, the Light World will be extinguished forever. Samus embarks on her mission to defeat the Ing and restore peace to Aether.

But, as Samus will soon learn, an ominous shadow lurks in the darkness, a shadow which stealthily hunts the hunter...

    has been worked with, from legit doodads to invalid and even to tweaked units
    and placements, and even unit interaction (any unit).
    [NOTE: Might make some non-story line buildings interactive such as homes]
    [NOTE: There will be a Switch to turn ON or OFF the unit interaction, incase it gets annoying tongue.gif]

  • Series of 12 Maps: 6 huge new titles and concepts of Metroid!:
    Part 1: The Essence of Light
    Part 2: Tales of Lake Shride
    Part 3: Wastes or Light and Echo
    Part 4: Flooded Forest of Torvus
    Part 5: From Santuary to Hive
    Part 6: Nine 10ths of the Sky
    Each new map introduces new Suits, Beams, Other Weapons, and items.
    After each part, you return to the main world, setting off to your next journey.

  • Shop System: Using your Overlord to unload a selected unit, activating
    the chosen action, from selecting what category of items.

  • New (I think) Reply System: Sometimes, a civilian or a shop worker will ask
    a question, you can select up to 3-4 different replies! having the questioner
    reply back in the condition you set him/her in.

  • New Special Condition System: Special ground based objects such as Phazon,
    Poisoned Water, or even the very air of the Dark Dimension, will slowly or rapidly
    subtract health from samus, depending on the suit. That's only if Samus is touching
    the object.

    Samus first entered the atmosphere of Aether, the Echo of Samus Aran.

Glad you're going 125x125, instead of like 192 or 256. Because like you said, you won't be on sc as much now a days. Really good move. Most ppl outdo themselves, and don't truly realize it until way later.

Lol, and another reason why i chose 125x125 is cause i dont want to over-do myself on my First RPG, cause i'm done bounds, im adjusting roughly to advanced RPG triggers and systems, and i don't want to start by doing to much.

It's like working out, if you're just starting (making a first rpg), you better exercise (get used to the ways of the triggers) or you'll pull a muscle (or you'll come up with big problems) easy.

Maybe he did 125x125 so he could grid the terrain to a number divisable by 5...? I'm sure it's easier for some people that way.

Well; maybe you find that easier, but i find using the division by 32, or lower 2^x digits of create use myself, since they are similar to binary functions.

Everytime a new movie or video game comes out, some poor soul thinks he's going to make a map for it. He starts it.. writes about it.. never makes a damn thing. Save yourself the trouble and quit now, unless you are ABSOLUTELY sure you are going to do this. Especially true for you VoidArchon as you aren't even that interested in SC as you once used to be.

People like you are the reason i'll quit a map...
Cause some people just have no faith, some people think i can just make bounds, but im going to show those censored.gif who's bigger and make a series that will be remembered through battle.net... That's the only reason im continuing this map.
And i know i don't play Starcraft as much, but i don't really care if this series takes me as long as i'm on battle.net, but i will keep making it.

And because i love Metroid games...


[ ON TOPIC ]

I currently have no Story-line triggers, for i am working out all the terrain, shops, systems, before i touch the story-line, i will soon be coming out with some more Screen Shots, you can make suggestions if you want.

Wasn't really that good, until i put my skills to the test, i'm adding much more detailed structure combo's to make buildings
and towns look much better, and it might seem that i'm doodad crazy, but i'm just making it look as real as i can. wink.gif clown.gif

Yes, but that portal to the light world blends in with the wall. I would suggest making it stand out a little more. Otherwise, it looks really neat. I like the ruins. Are you going to put ruin terrain there?, just a thought, don't know of it would look good or not.

I know it blends into the wall so far, i'll put a little text of samus's thoughts through out the map, for help. And the Ruins terrain requires alot of space, but i'll try that.

[ OTHER INFORMATION ]
  • Interaction News: Unit Interaction has just 1 glitch, which will soon be fixed. The
    glitch consists of repeating text messeges even when the interacted unit is'nt near you.

  • Terrain News: I'm done the terrain around the entrance to the Sanctuary Fortress. Now i
    am working on making The Ruins of Haven more real, by making the roads Temple Grounds
    terrain, instead of Dirt.

  • System News: I have done the Custom HP, I am now currently working on Shop Systems.
    All is working on fine.

How are you dealing with Lag issues currently, and will the upgraded weapons be the important part, or the units.

Have you fought of enabling the opponents to cast similar spells themselves from time to time, and even the option to counter-spell for both sides.

With Computers i'd mix a Random system, with a percentage chart, so that with certain units/levels the level is creater, therefore the chance of the computer doing things are higher.

Switch 2 Set
Switch 3 Set
Something is at least x
something is at most y
action
computer does a spell

also have it for counter spells, either constantly have it randomise, or else have it for when a player casts. and remember you can make it work for other random amounts as well...

Yay! I like the town name wink.gif. The terrain looks pretty great. Just don't overdo the doodads tongue.gif. This almost makes me want to get out the SC CD again... almost.

Void, have you decided upon a battle system? I remember testing several...
If so did you finish it?

In any case, I think you're doing a great job with the map for a game-based map. It's hard to accomplish something like that, so keep up the good work dude.

ADDITION: qPirateKing, get that censored.gif out and finish the sequal to Legacy of Haean.

We're all still waiting dude.
