Anyways, yeah I just got ticked off because he seemed to be one of those people that just wants someone good to help him on a map so at least one of his maps will be good (I know that seems like an insult, but it isn't. He may have plenty of good maps, but generally people who ask like this want someone to make a good map for them...err...with them). And by coming here and asking for someone to help him with a map, without telling us any description or general ideas, then it seems like he also just wants to leech off someone's ideas for an awesome map.

Alright, since you seem to talk for nothing, because you don't know , Mr.Devlin, I will explain the situation. And my bad for not replying earlier, I forgot I posted something here.

Several days ago, Solar came back to me on MSN to know what was my nickname, and if it was still alive and other things. Then, he said that it'd be cool if I came back on Battle.Net, since he knew that I was a good map maker, and I probably still am, you can't lose IT. I told him that map making alone is kinda boring, and that I'd prefer to make a map with someone of his clan. He told me to post on the forums saying that there will be people interested by the end of the day. Now, you really went too far, and shown how kiddish you actually were, and same for most of the clan. It seems like there are only kids who like to make maps these days, heh?

I said ''A-hem -.-'' as meaning ''can we get back to the subject, please'', but in a rude way. Yet, that doesn't give you the right you throw like that and make it a fight out of a single ''a-hem -.-''. I'm guessing you're just one other typical SC guy who comes online just to get fights, 'cause his life needs something to be ''worth'' living. Lock the topic instead of replying whatever you will say such as the idiotic sentences you fools like to say to ''back'' yourself in situations like this. Prove you're mature, and not just a moron, and either lock the topic or keep yourself from replying. Thanks.

Um guys, I think this rule could apply to basicly everything in the forum.
He asked if any1 wanted to make a map with him, and you guys kinda went negative. Next time, just don't reply in the topic.

...or is it not garbage, not conveying some inopportune moment to vent about nothing but really not stating the obvious in the forom random spouts of garbage like replies...

Wow... clan Oo. is welcoming isn't it? Devlin you're a bit stereotypical to new people aren't you? You assume they are all "noob's" and that they are somehow trying to get the better of Oo. Shouldn't the clan be helping those in need? Not shouting abuse?

Or atleast give worthwhile criticism on something.

I hate making maps with people. they allways have a different style of map making wich takes some getting used to. plus giving the map back and fourth is a bitch. And no one can compete with my T-rain (thats terrain by the way)

Right now im at a friends place doing a little LAN UMSing. We're having a great time and we're very addicted to most of Oo.Vic.oO's maps. Good job

Thats how we found him. We were playing random games, one, of "Path Defense". We really enjoyed it, and I said, "Hey, clan Oo has their maps at Staredit.net, lets go there and see if we can download all his stuff", so we headed here, found his maps, and mass downloaded them all, and played them. Its stupid for me to be complimenting my own site, but I loved the fact that I could download all the maps of a great map maker in one place.



I plan to be complimenting more map makers in the future.

Why not explain that earlier? I still feel I was very just in my original statement. You assumed we would all jump up and help you with a map when we have no idea if you're some newbie to map making or some map making genius. You can't blame me for thinking the former, because that is usually the case. You can get mad at me for stating the obvious, but no one replied wanting to help you (except DR later), so it seemed that no one cared. And saying "a-hem" as if we're supposed to love you and automatically want to help you is absurd.


My point was that we aren't on topic because no one cared. I could have closed it due to it being off-topic, would you have preferred that? I didn't mean to start any fight, I just got annoyed because "a-hem" could mean anything, and again you didn't explain.


How about you look up my replies rather than sit thereand very confidently put me down? It would be obvious, if you did, that I'm not one who comes on to pick fights. My sentences may seem idiotic to you, but that's because they're going against you. I had every right to assume you were some newb coming here to seek a good map maker to help you. You had never said anythign to make me think otherwise. If I'm the moron who isn't mature enough to lock this and walk away, why haven't you locked this yourself?

Since now I know that isn't true (a week later, I might add), I admit it was my mistake.

And how welcoming am I supposed to be when he says he wants to make a map and then I assume his "a-hem" reply is some sort of haughty remark with the sole purpose of making us feel as if we need to work with him?

Well i didn't think it was. Your opinion is different from mine. To err is human. And if I'm giving Oo a bad reputation, then why is it that just you and Waff are here saying I'm an idiot and such? As far as I can tell - and I mean with as little ego as possible - most people have said (in the not so distant past) that I'm the one exception when they talk about how much they don't like Oo (referring to posts by Fortune and Euro, and others).

I'm sorry I misunderstood you. No need to call me "kiddish" and immature, because that is in no way the truth. In fact I believe I replied in a much more mature fashion than a majority of SC users could conjure. You can't blame me for a simple mistake like this. You may assume I'm this large or just some guy who thinks he knows everything, and that's fine. But at least get to know me first. You didn't come here telling us anything about Solar liking you or anything about your skill, so if you thought we'd assume you were good then you should have thought that we'd also assume you weren't. Yeah sure, I can be the bad guy if you all want - but I think explanation in the first place would have prevented this. If we had known Solar told you to come here, I know I personally wouldn't have incorrectly presumed things.

See I told ya! I always see Swirl D, Bound Defense, and Path Defense played now. Yoshi, you may want to check out his maps under the name Vic[V] as well. Some of those are pretty good as well.
