Wait, weren't they gonna ban PS2? so how are they even gonna make a PS3? I go with the PS3, even though I don't know its features, I just hope its better

A console doesn't have to be expensive to be good you know. It may only be around 3-5 times as powerful as the Gamecube, but I think the Gamecube was good enough and the power is increasing a little bit. I think the graphics are good enough but with the PS3 and XBox 360 with so much more power, they'll be more expensive just to have games with better graphics. Kind of a rip-off in my opinion. Besides, the Gamecube's price was lowered because Nintendo can afford to have a price drop. Unlike Sony and Microsoft who are in my opinion greedy game companies who are rich enough and still selling consoles for around $150. And now they are releasing the PS3 and XBox 360 for about 3 times that much? Bah, the graphics are good enough, so I don't see why to add extra power for graphics and a higher price tag. Nintendo concentrates on gaming instead of multimedia machines, so that's another reason for overpriced consoles.

Microsoft had to remove a hardware or something to make Xbox 360 100$ cheaper for everybody to buy it, that must mean less memory... but still a lot.

How is Halo 2 not expanded from Halo? It tells more of story of everything, so you understand everything more.

And why does everyone say Halo is overrated!? It's not.

Overrated means to have too much praise, I just don't see why people hate it just because a lot of people love it. Sometimes I see some people define overrated as it being a bad game or saying it sucks. People need to also think how did it get overrated in the first place. I got my XBox just for Halo 1 and 2. Those games changed my opinion on first person shooters. I'm just not sure why people hate it, saying it's average when both games got 10 out of 10, or saying it sucks when more than half the people who said that didn't even try it.

Here's what the XBox will have.

Storywise yes, but I'm talking about gameplay and graphics.

It is overrated, I won't say it's bad game, because it's a good game. But it is overrated.

I would have to choose PS3, even though I haven't seen it yet. I don't own a PS2 or a PS1 which means a PS3 is more meaningful (it's like having all three consoles). I don't know about the xbox 360, but i have seen it (Electronic Gaming Monthly!) but I still think PS3 may be better.

Mmmm nVidia is making a gpu for the PS3, and ATI for the XBox 360. Of late nVidia has been ahead of ATI. Actually, I hear that nVidia is going to give Sony the 7800 GTX line of gpus. Those will be the next big computer gpus... due out in a month or two. So PS3 gets a mainstream PC gpu while Microsoft gets a custom made ATI gpu. That's not to say the 7800 GTX will be slow! It's rumored to be twice as fast as the 6800. Needless to say... both machines will have high end graphics (but by the time they're released the PC of course will have better).

PS3 will be too expensive, like 300$ or more.

Xbox 360 will be just plain 200$ because they removed some hardware just to let everybody to buy it.

The video cards would cost $400-$800 by themselves for the PC.

*Edit* Did you read that a Pentium-M processor with the right desktop hardware can easily beat a Pentium 4 processor performance wise? They just found that out.

And Sony has always done $300 as the release price (PS1, PS2). They have also hinted that that will not change for the PS3.

I also read somewhere, that the Xbox360 will be released before PS3 and in the $300 range so that they could get a decent foothold of hardware sales before PS3 is released.

Has Sony even developed the cell processor yet? I bet it's all a bunch of hoopla that isn't that great.

Xbox 360 is basically going to win overall, Since it is the most known console ever... I think Bill Gates will invest more money into it to just get more money back.

Blu-ray discs have around 35 gigs of space, not 100 gigabytes....DVD's hold about 4 gigs.

Or dual-sided DVD's (which xbox360 is going with, I think), about 15gigs.

I dont really see why Microsoft didnt go with blu-ray...those idiots.

Well, considering that Blu-rays are relatively new, so the cost per disc is multiple that of a DVD...Microsoft being less extravagent with their money? OMG, LiEk, ItS aRmaG3DoN!!!

Is it dependant on the game, or are load times shorter on the xbox? Not that it even really matters.

DVD's can hold over 40 gigabytes. I cannot find the link to the news post. It's all in how they write to the DVD.

And I've heard of HD-DVD's with a, I think, 55 gb storage capacity.

I already showed how PS3 performs better than the 360, I don't have to re-explain why. Search for my post if you don't believe me.

You listed stats; he/she www.com.au explained (read: copy/pasted info) what those stats represented on the systems.

He explained that the Ps3 has more power, but devotes a large portion of that power to tasks that are relatively unimportant in gaming.



Either way, nobody truly knows what the systems are going to have until they're released. Things can always change...Who knows, maybe The Revolution will prove to be the ultimate powerhouse.








Dont remember who mentioned this earlier, but it IS funny, how everyone who supported xbox did so because it was more powerful, but now they say power isnt important, its the gameplay..and all the Ps2 people are the exact opposite, lol.

Now not making a PlayStation 4, Sony is coming out with a new console, There will never be a PS4.

Playstation 4 would come out that way because of PS1 was made in 1996, PS2 was made in around 2000, and PS3 is made in 2006... probably playstation 4 will be like that too, 5 or 6 years until a new ps comes out.
