Staredit Network

Staredit Network -> UMS Assistance -> what map editor can i use to open scx files ?

i need to open some maps so i can change their name for the Romanian League
www.starcraft.ro but i cant manage to open most maps with normal starcraft editor or starforge.. can anyone help me ?

are these maps protected or am i not using the right editor.. ?

scx files are Brood War maps, if you only have original starcraft, i dont thunk u can open them.

If its protected, theres nothng much you can do im afraid huh.gif

[center]You need Brood War installed on your computer to open .scx map in StarEdit. StarForge can open any map, unless it's protected.[/center]

All editors can open SCX files. The maps are either protected or corrupted.

If you don't get it yet, you need BrooDat installed in your C:\Program Files\Starcraft directory.
Among other files.

INSTALL BROOD WAR.

grrr i have broodwar.. -_-; then i suppose their protected.. any ideea how i can deal with that ?

Yeah. You don't open it. Maps are protected so you can't.
