Does anyone know how to make some decent blood effects in paint shop pro? Ive looked for tutorials, or even some kind of general hints everywhere, and i cant seem to get it right on my own. I need it so i can finish Terminator Stalin, and any help would be greatly appreciated.
/*Just thought i would make a semi legit post this time...no metaphors....or analogies...or references to red haired irish men...*\
*cackles like a fat maniac*
I know how to do it, though, it's many, many steps long, and lots of tweaking. Just send me what you want to be bloodified, and, yeah.
Don't mkae it too complicated though, just something like cuts and scrapes.
Alright, ill send it as soon as i get the chance. Its not done in any sense, but ill let you have it anyways cus i like to share.
Blood is cool...you have to make it splattering everywhere, not just these little cuts and scrapes.
Fire up MSpaint and use the spray tool w00t lol
Try using photoshop its bound to have something decent for making blood, that is if you have it.
I have an old version of photoshop (version 4.something) but i prefer to stick with paint shop. It's simpler and funner for me to play with for some reason. As for using paint

, im not sure about that.
paint sucks for everything. i know cuz my computers a piece of junk and that's all i have...can't even afford decent software

It doesnt suck for making

ty looking pictures lol
well belieeeeve me i know that...
PaintShop Pro 8 has decent tools
Edit: For example my avatar <------------
heh, I've got Photoshop 7, though I'm now looking for 8. I find that Photoshop has the more...powerful tools.
photoshop > paintshop
IMHO
Well, there is one advantage of Paint Shop Pro. It's that it can be used to make SC sprites. Though then again, the only tutorials I've read about that is about Paint Shop Pro. Does anybody here know how to do it in Photoshop?
What do you mean it can be used "to make SC Sprites."?
You don't need that program to do it. Unless you mean good sprites easily. In which case, MSPaint is still good anyway.
All three programs are good for doing that because all three programs can zoom in and work on the pixel by pixel level. (which is easier to do when making sprites for games)
Photoshop may be the better program, but Paint Shop Pro is much easier to use and much faster. But if I had to choose between them, Photoshop. I just don't have the money for it.

lol, that's where my friends get everything
Ok PS master here

Photoshop 8 is bull

, use too much resourcesssss, 7 is great have all what you need
PSP is good when you know how 2 use it, ive seen great images with PSP, and some better ones with PS...
(PS=PhotoShop, PSP=PaintShopPro)
That's why I said PSP is faster. It uses less resources and you can move around it a lot faster. But Photoshop was made basically for advanced level graphics editing. And companies that use that usually have computer that can handle the high resources.
SP, don't be dumb.
Yeah, agreed, PS is made for comapnys... check the price of it lol...
And paladin... chu is right dont be dumb
couhgDELETED BY YOSHI BECAUSE THEY ARE ILLEGAL PROGRAM OBTAINERScough

Ah, but in PSP, you can assign a specific pallette to the picture, and use the tools effectively on the picture, while in Photoshop, usually the colours are re-indexed. Well, the at least in the method I use, there ends up to be problems for the sprite.
Just curious, how many of you have actually attempted making sprited for StarCraft?
There are some tools in PS 8 that I would like to see, like the tone matching tool or whatever it's called. But since I haven't used it before, I would want to try it out first before forming an opinion. And now, I don't feel like d/ling it now...
I'm pretty sure you can do anything in Photoshop that you can in PSP. That includes setting palletes.
And yes I have made sprites for SC. Over 2 years ago when I was using PSP7 and a trial of Photoshop.
Ah. But do you know of a way to do it directly on Photoshop, and no need to send to PSP, and then to SC? If you do, can you teach me?

I did, but I would need the program again to tell you how. And that I don't have.
