What are "neutral players" in triggers like create units for player in scxe?

If I understand correctly...

Netural players are p12. I don't think you can create units for them. Only a few triggers work for them.

In SCXE, 'Neutral Players' are just player 12, or whichever players you set as 'Neutral' (Player > Settings > Control > Neutral).

I think. wink.gif

I don't think you can create player 12 units either, but the p12 triggers might be able to, available in the DLDB

Neutral also doesn't give that player a slot in B.net
..I just thought I'd throw that in =P.

And you can't use the "Give Unit" trigger to 12 unless you're using Starforge? Because, the only players that appear in the variable "players" are P1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 and current player..

You can use the "Give Units" for player 12 if you place the trigger under "All Players."

p12 is just a special person placed in the choices to throw ppl off, lol.
p12 isnt good for much of anything but sitting there and taking leftover units.

Still Nope, spam too.

When triggers refer to player "Neutral" they refer to players that are set to Neutral (as opposed to Human or Computer).
Player 12 is unrelated to that. It is true that player 12 is a 'neutral' player but Neutral doesn't mean player 12. You can't write a trigger to remove 'neutral' units, but if you intend on removing exess units after a player leaves the game then that won't work. Those units do not qualify as neutral, and this is why you need player 12 triggers.

Yes minerals and doodad doors are owned by player 12, I'm not sure if you can effect them using 'neutral' or not however.

Right. *slap*. Neutral players is a "virtual" force title for neutral players within the set of in-game players {p:p€I,p>=1,p<=8}. I knew that...

(the slap was me slapping myself)
