It was a big deal where I lived since Eyal Ramon was the first Israeli in space (and the best fighter pilot in Israel, who have also designed the plane 'Lavi') so when he died it was like... crap.
Altho it took only two weeks to start seeing jokes about that topic (black humor... but some were very damn funny!).

And I remember seeing those astronauts and then the next day I wake up and see on the news that the shuttle broke up and stuff. I thought that was a little weird...[/center]
