Like Shouldn't You not have to go to school if its your birthday?

I mean its Your Birthday it Should be "SPECIAL"

Its not THAT special. Its just like any other day, except youre officially one year older, and youre chances of getting cake and presents are much higher.

The problem is everyone else would have school so you be missing some "learning" and you would still have to do the work you missed etc.

I dont go to school on my birthday anyway,my mum lets me stay home on my bday if its on schoolday

If I had my way we'd only recieve time off for vacations that have no theological significance attached. Like "Spring Break".

It's your choice to not go to school on what day, plus your parents will most likely let you stay home on your birthday anyways...My birthday was today (Wednesday, 02/02/2005) and i didn't need to go to school.

My birthday is in the summer holiday so it doesn't metters to me, but I don't celebrate it anyway cuz birthdays are boring.
I rather play SC all day long than eating a pie and ugh... birthdays are boring.

i dont think we should get the day off. why should the school care if you were born on that day. did you do something amazing did you invent something did you write a famous song? no, so think about it what is your birthday really other than the day that the world became just a little more over populated

Besides it's a bad thing to miss school. If you miss any important tests or stuff you'll have to make that stuff on ur own time. Meaning you'll have to put in extra school time to do that stuff.

Going to school on birthdays is the best, at least for me Fridays are the best.

We mess around in school all day long doing pranks/jokes.
Then we get 10 people into a car and go to parties and come back home at about 4AM ~ 6AM. Thats if it's a Friday. If it's any other day we just mess a lot on the birthday and then we got to the friday parties.

I have Tryed So MANy things to try to fake Sick So Many things . Every Trick in the book and More. Plus Some PArnets Dont Really Care if your sick they send ya to school anyways.

Kid: if u get it off, it's unlikely your parent's or friends will, so it would be pretty crappy

Working man//woman: u get paid when u go to work, there for go to work on your birthday...my job is cool they give birthday bounes, kinda of like christmas bouneses

Doesn't matter for me, my birthday is during Spring Break.
Plus you're right, no one is really "making" you go to work. But, it's the right thing to do to got to work.

I hardly ever miss school. If I am sick they don't really care. I still go to school...unless if I am really sick then I might be able to stay home.

I don't really care if I have to go to school on my birthday. I still go. Even if there are holidays for my religion and etc. I still go to school regardless of whatever it is.

yeah and when you go to work u get paid and with the money you get paid with u can buy a good gift for your self

and for kids: when u go to school u get a better education which will get u into a good college, which will get u a good job which will get u paid a lot of money which there for on your birthday when you get a job u can buy a great gift for your self

what book? if you wanna miss school just do this:
a day before eat a lot at the evening and start acting tired, go to sleep easrlier than you usually do and say you feel bad.
The next day wake up late when you still have only about ten minutes till school and act like if this was just another day, but move slowly and make sounds of pain, sit on a chair and cover your eyes with your arm.
Your parents are now probably gonna ask if you're ok, tell them something like "yea yea, I'm going just one more second" and don't mention not going to school.
If you have a good loving parents they'd suggest themselves that you stay home that day, if you're a bad actor or they simply hate you they'll ignore you.

My parents usually celebrate the Saturday or Sunday before my b-day instead of on the actual day.
