You'll see what I'll do with this later. I'm getting a list of all the words that we use in staredit network (melee vocab vs ums vocab). So far, heres what I got:

wtf = What the fudge. Wtf can be defined as extreme confusion or against weirdness.
Player 1: WTF where'd my marine go?

wtfage = What the fudgeage. Staredit Network is the first site to commonly use "wtfage" within the community. Its the same as WTF except its used more intensively and is not commonly used.

I.E.
Player 1: I wet my bed!
Player 2: wtfage?!?

uber = Orginates from German (thx dash). Meaning "extreme" or "very good".

I.E.
Player 1: Wana go on Starcraft?
Player 2: Thats the uberest game ever!

lol = common phrase for Laughing out loud. Used when someone tells a joke or something funny happens.

I.E.
Player 1: Stop attacking my barracks with your probe!
Player 2: NEVER!! LOL!!!!!!

rofl = rolling on the floor laughing. You dont REALLY do it, but its usually used at something thats funnier than lol.

I.E.
Player 1: *in starcraft game thats for experts* how do I get a grunt?
Player 2: *on the other team* ROFL!!!!

lmao = Laughing my ass off. Similar to rofl.

I.E. (I got lazy)
Player 1: *in starcraft game thats for experts* how do I get a grunt?
Player 2: *on the other team* LMAO!!!!

stfu = Shut the fudge up. When someone is being an idiot, annoying, or saying something negative about you, its common to use this.

I.E.
Player 1: Hahaha! My attack force will get you yet!
Player 2: Your mom.
Player 1: STFU!

Can't think of any more. Anyone?

AFK = Away from keyboard. Used when someone is going away from their keyboard.

I.E.
Player 1: *hearsphone ringing*afk

ROFLMFAOPIATW = Rolling on floor laughing my fudging ass off painfully in a theatrical way. This is the most extreme expression used to express laughter.

I.E.
Player 1: *playing BattleCraft, used 100,000 minerals on units, Player 3 uses Armogeddedn, a spell thatkills all enemies*
Player 4: ROFLMAOPIATW

gg = Good game. Usually used when a game ends.

I said Uber once in front of my dad and he took 4 years of German, and he said it means good.

You are correct, Uber (u should be an umlaut = ü) is a german word.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Yoshi da Sniper on 2004-01-16 at 16:02:35
This is STAREDIT NETWORK vocabulary. ü is correct, however here we call it "uber"
Report, edit, etc...Posted by dashrike on 2004-01-16 at 16:12:27
But its still german...

You really weren't paying attention to my post were you?

Try scrolling up and reading it again. I really wish people would stop rush posting in the forums and start accually reading what other people say. Thats the whole point in forums.

Yoshi, you said uber originates from the Korean language. When it doesn't. It's German. Regardless of whether WE use it or not, you defined it improperly by stating it's a Korean word.

For the record, I dont know much about Korean, but I do know a little about asian languages. And im almost 100% sure that there are no words that end with R because their languages don't allow that.

Your post said nothing about which language it came from. All yours said was whether we type the umlaut here on senet...

My mistake. I was refering to the "u" thing, since that was my most recent post.

Bs = Bullsh*t. Used when referring to distruth, something that's amazingly odd, annoying, stupid, wierd, glitchy, or hurting.
I.E.
Player 1: *playing an Rpg, gets killed in one hit by something 100'th as strong as him*BS
I.E.
Player 1: So he was telling you that there's a hack that gives everyone else fog of war everywhere and inability to see?
Player 2: Yep.
Player 1: Don't listen to him; he was just feeding you a bunch of BS

BS = Backstab. Refers to the tactic of joining a game, and allying against your ally, usually allying with your supposed "enemy".
I.E.
Player 1:*messaging friends*Hey, wanna go BS some1?
I.E.
Player 1: Clan ThisClanDoesn'tExist is made up of a bunch of BSers that get their wins that way.

The funny thing is that the SCV hotkey for building a supply depot is B + S. Maybe Blizzard is trying to tell us something.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by chuiu on 2004-01-16 at 23:25:24
Or maybe not. Because it's obvious they would use (b)uild (s)upply for the hotkeys.

Backstabbing in fun. Christian, want to backstab more often?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by SpaceBoy2000 on 2004-01-18 at 10:39:34
I would join in if I'm on. I love bsing on maps, though it's true that i pick on n00bs sometimes. I have a friend that would bs everyone (including me, even when I'm on the phone with him) and then kill everybody who resists and let the rest live. Only problem is that I always go mass rines, and he always go mass hydra and lurkers. Oh well, it's always fun.
