hi again.. i wasted the whole nite now, with this damn player 161.. the one with cloaking powers... biggrin.gif ... anywayz, my problem:

i want to cloak 20 terran civilian in location "Cloak".. so i placed 20 civilians controlled by player 161 and made them invincible.. then i placed a abiter over them .. also controlled by player 161... and then my triggers say: if elapsed time is exact 10 seconds, remove all abiters from all player in location "cloak" then wait 2000 ms and then give all civilians controlled by any player at location "cloak" to player 7 ..


cauze i want palyer 7 to control those cloaked units later... but the problem is when i press start and the mission briefing is over, the soudns starts and i hear effects, but the game froze.. i mean the screen is black and nothing works ... just "ctrl+alt+del" and then manually close starcraft... only way out... so its total stuck and hang with the settings i have right now...

hmm to get a lil more detail... player 7 is a computer player but allied and shared vision with all other human players... in fact the problem is i either can palce air OR ground units for palyer 161... if i palce both starcraft crashes...

also important i preplaced all the units i talked about.. not created with triggers... the triggers just remove the abiter and give the civilians to palyer 7..

i read a few topics in here now and this is a lil confusing... they dont match.. one says all units has to be player 161 and others say u only need 1 unit to stay near abiter and civilians (controlled by player 7)..

so who controls what and how do i have to palce them and when and how remove the abiter and whats with the placed unit for 161 then ? i just want to get my civilians cloaked and controlled by palyer 7

-) Player 7 is a ALLIED COMPUTER PLAYER
-) Player 161 Units got Preplaced and not ingame with triggers
-) 2 posts in this forum say/describe different things about player 161 trick

anywayz i guess u read only every 3 words of each sentence .. it seems to be an infection over here... tongue.gif

and what u mean it only works once ? i did it only once.. or do u talk about it only works with 1 UNIT ... and not with 20... but those 20 units i wanna cloak all at the same time -> SO ONLY ONCE...

yea sure... i never saied i didnt posted 2 posts.. but post #2 contais a lil more info as i saied "i will go a lil more in detail now" .. arent im alllowed to alter things to previous posts ?

anywayz thx for clearing this up... 1 unit 1 time... thast what i wanted to know wink.gif

so i guess im lost now cauze all other "cloaking-tricks" cant be used for a civilian, from what i read till now...

It is ok to double post when you are allowed to. I think you can double post in a few hours (5-7?). If it lets you then you can. If not it will just have the "ADDITION" under your first post.

You can double post if it is at least 6 hours since your last post and your new post adds something to the topic. It cant be just like "this is too far down the list so i am going to bump it with this post" it has to have information like his post did.

The fastest and easiest way (I even find it more relaible) is to place unit 6178.
If it doesn't show up as a pylon in SF tell me, then I can edit this and give the correct unit number thats not off the top of my head...

Place all the ground units you need for p161. Then after that's done, place an arbiter over them for p161. MAKE SURE YOU DO IT IN THAT ORDER! When moving the ground units out from under the arbiter, they will remain cloaked. You can give them to another player.

Patch 1.12 is coming soon. Please refrain from using extended players and units.

and what u mean with patch 1.12 / extended units ... will they shrink down the amount of possibilitys ? no more player 161 tricks .. ? is there anywhere a list of what they disallow or what we cant move laters .. thx

The problem with Patch 1.12 (As far as I know), is that extended players/units don't actually "exist"... it's got something to do with the memory and stuff. (Deathknight could explain it better than I could). When Blizzard creates Patch 1.12, the effects of the extended units/players will change, because the memory changes. I think... sly.gif
