I just installed Mandrake 9.2 (linux). Its AWESOME.

During installation, it automatically installs everything for you. I have windows xP and mandrake on the same computer :D

I would be using it, however mandrake doesn't like my new wireless adapter (its too recent) so I'm struggling to find something that works.

Until then, watch your Kernels!

EDIT: Did you know XP shows up as an emontion?

Huh. My mom uses Linux. I know about as much about it as I used to know about using Windows...
I would use Linux, but that would stop me from playing Starcraft and using some other game related programs...

I've played starcraft on Yoshi's version of Linux. Matter of fact, I'm pretty sure before they release any version of Linux, they test to see if it's compatable with the greatest game ever.

Huh. I heard that Starcraft doesn't support Linux. And I heard of people trying to find out how to use that one program* can't remember what it's called to useStarcraft with Linux.
*or something, it's supposed to allow Windows games to be played on Linux.

There are tons of different Linux distros, some may not be compatable with SC. But the better ones usually are.

Theres an emulator that runs like windows. Its simple to play.

Even if that fails, I still got windows xP on here (its mutliboot screen)

For exmaple, in windows, where you download a program sometimes it says "File imgay.ocx not found, Aborting installation"

And linux for example "File imgay.ocx not found, press Y for download it N for abort installation" Y "Downloading and installing imgay.ocx........... Done"

It autosearch missing files and packets... its so great....

I'd probably have Linux and Windows if I had more disk space. Nearly filled up, though.

Ha! I beat you to it Yoshi1 I was installing it half a month ago for a school project.

Ack, my only problem now is that has anybody figured out how to share files on a network with Windows machine? I think I messed something up, so i'll have to re-install. Another problem is that I somehow need to get an image of my Window partition in Linux so I can "reformat" it easier.

Oh well. Yoshi, you did d/l Mandrake 9.2 from the net, right?

EDIT: Only another problem. How do you install programs on it? Not packages, but programs off the web? I know, I'm kinda...dumb...
