Okay, I'm just asking the staff this. You know I sometimes post news of interest or my opinions, like the 2 parter rigging thing. I thought I needed to voice an opinion of something that really pisses me off (should piss everyone else off too tongue.gif)

I always said this site wasn't a news site, so we only post news related to map making and playing.

Any opinions on this policy? Should I stay away from these types of news posts?

It pretty much depends on what kind of News it is. It we move a step more towards being a News site, it would bring lots of new people from other areas of Starcraft and this will help the site grow not into the Best Starcraft Mapmaking Stie(Which it already is), but making SEN into the Best Starcraft Site in Mapmaking, Melee gameing, UMS gameing, Casual Gameing and Starcraft in General.

Anyways about the rigged maps News you posted. It would've been better if you kust updated the old one. I mean having 2 straight topics aboutt he same thing in a row isn't very wise especially when they are on top.

I really expect to see news, or interesting stuff on the front page. Since when was it also "playing" related? tongue.gif

Whatever you change it to doesn't matter to me, you're asking the wrong people. Ask the hundreds of people who read it everyday.

Yeah i would base your news post on how much you think people will care about the news topic.

If you make alot of news about a release of someones map your your recent trip to the Bahamma's then people will no long read and it will lose its purpose.

I used to not care, and everyone enjoyed seeing informal news posts.

That was a year ago when we had 1/100th of the traffic we do now :\
