I have come to this conclusion based upon the attached map. Go play at. First of all, select Jim Raynor and get him to use his stim pack. The more you use it, the less health he has even though he is invincible. Now, train a marine and I do the same thing you did it with Jim. You might notice the same thing happened -- the marine and Jim lost health when you used the stim pack even though they are invincible. Why does this happen?
Here is my test map that I used:[attachmentid=4946]
This isn't anything new, but the requirement to use stim pack is -10 hp. So even though they may be invincible, their health is still subtracted by 10 hp. Letting us know that it is possible to control health in the game.
C'mon DK, find out how to add/subtract health already.
All invincible is is a property in which the unit cannot get attacked. It still has life.
Or have spell effects casted on it.
BAsicaly, it's a property that makes it no longer be in any class of attackable units, I suppose.
Like a powerup. There is no 'powerup' under attackable targets, thus it is impossible to attack it.
Wow... That's just sad... I found this out like 2 years ago while playing those crummy RP maps and stiming my marine... Very Old news...
I knew this 5 years ago, when I started to make maps. It's just I hadn't bothed to find out if anyone else knew about this.
Now, it doesn't seem like anyone is going to add any helpful comments. If you want to add something helpful PM me so I can unlock this topic, or get someone else like a mod to unlock this topic. So now...
