Ok I want to know how to cloak any unit, but when I read the tutorial I didn't undertand it, maybe it wasn't specific enough for me. SO could any one explain this trigger to me in a newbie format please. smile.gif

Im to lazy right now to explain how to do it, Just try re-reading it...

Give me 5 min and ill tell you....

K back...Just make the script as followed...

Make a new trigger..

Make it for the player you want..
Make the condition always or something else...
Now do these actions in order...

¤ Disable doodad state for unit
¤ Wait 50 milla seconds
¤ Enable doodad state for unit
¤ Wait 50 milla seconds
¤ Enable doodad state for unit
¤ Wait 50 milla seconds
¤ Order "move" to unit

As said on the tutorial, Make sure the wait, Has some wait time.

well the whole cloaking thing is a lil tricky.. i messed with it 3 days now..

1st of all u CANT cloak ALL units with the disabled doodade state..
2nd u will notice starcraft crashes alot while u are messing around with it..

theres also a list of all cloaking methods and which units can be cloaked with which method... all have negative and positive aspects.. i warn ya, this will waste alot of ya time tongue.gif

btw.: heres the link:

http://www.staredit.net/gf/glitcht/scgu.txt

in there are all cloaking methods wink.gif

ADDITION:

another nice way is to place unit 6178.
Its a unit that doesn't visually exist in the game, but acts like an Arbiter.

It casts a cloaking field, form 'nowhere'.

(u will need starforge for it..for the whole cloak thing i suggest it)

You don't need that last move order action.

OK something wierd happened, Im not sure if my science vessel was cloacked or not but a ash world doodad appeared near where my science vesssel was. (and I am using badlands) I ran around the area with my marines a little bit and for about 2 munites I was messing around and then sc crashed. there was a delay in the crashing...

linK posted a link to a txt file with every cloakable unit, read that before you try to cloak units because you can't do all units with disable doodad method.

Here's the Tutorial:

Actually it works with Wait 0 milliseconds as well.

All waits below 84 are set to 84 because 84 is the least amount of time the SC engine can wait.

Yeah, but you were straying off topic. He had a problem and you're showing him what he was doing. Not what he's doing wrong. tongue.gif
