All I want to know is why didn't they declare Vietnam as A war?, There was enough blood to fill up the state of maryland up to evrey body's ankles, And all the soldier's that died for us, And they didn't even declare it as a war....

Congress never declared war against North Vietnam simply because it wasn't their war and there was no reason to go to war.

It's the samething what happened in the "Forgotton war" or AKA the Korean War. Weren't allowed to go into Vietnam, but we did sent in some Mercenaries into Vietnam without USA equipment. So when they got captured. USA would of said that they don't know any of them. Also, the Army wasn't able to call the shots, I think it was Congress who called the shots. The army said they'll get this war over within about 1 or 2 years. But, congress said no. And look now. We lost too much comrades from that

They really should of made both of those battle's a war, We keep losing to many men for no reason, The only reason we went into battle in the vietnam war, Was because our ally was getting owned.

Not really, We lost the Vietnam War, We got out asses kicked back in that war.

Yep, all modern armies seem to suck at fighting guerilla wars. We should avoid them wherever possible, I think.

Actually we made them pay dearly. We still could have pwned them if we wanted to, but we pulled out. Secondly, no one wanted to go to war. Thirdly, we were there on a police action, thus unable to invade North Vietnam, which could have sent Russia and China into war against us. We were merely protecting South Vietnam, but we eventually pulled out because of public rioting and such.

Yeah, that's the reason why Congress didn't let us go into North Vietnam. But, the miltary wanted to though. Also. Russia and China would of owned us too. Were getting owened at North Vietnam. We still would of gotten owned badly cause we lost so many comrades in that war.

If the USSR and China hadn't backed North Vietnam, we would almost surely have taken the North Vietnamese out.
I guess we just didn't want another world war twenty years after the second one ended.
