Staredit Network -> UMS Assistance -> how do i make it imposable to wall

when i make a wall of sunken colonys or bunkers etc with chars inplace so they cant passthe comp just sits there and doesnt attack. how do i get it so they do attack so no one can wall. ive trryed everything i can think of
im usseing the starcraft editer that comes with brood war to make my trigs
please help ty

Make sure the players are the computers enemy and make sure you are ordering them to attack. They won't actually attack unless they are in the location they were ordered to attack to or if they are blocked by something.

LMAO i thought attack was for attack to location B from location A. and i dident want them attacking unless they blokced. ty

cant belive i dident try that

ok i tryted that but it makes them attack on there way to location B. um will i need a ai script qand if so what kind never made one.i dont want them to attack to location b but i do want them to attack if they cant get there break a hole then keeep movening even if beening attacked. cant seem to figure it out and um chu's suggestion dident help

It's quite simple actually just make the computer be your enemy and you will be the computer's enemy.

When the enemy untis spawn just order them to move to the end.
If the computer units are stuck beacause the player just walled then the units will automatically stop becasue they have no where no go. Now the enemy units are in the "Stop" positiong and will start attacking any units that aren't allied.

To make sure that the enemy units wont stay in one place after killing all the Human Towers, just make it so that every set amount of seconds you order the enemy untis to move towards the end.

that makes alota sens. but um the comps are in a diff force then the humans and from what i can tell they are my enemy i attack t5hem. but even when i hit move to location B they dontr stop they just try and walk threw the wall lol

Make sure the human units are not invincible. Make sure the computer isn't preserved to move to the bottom without some kind of wait.

Have a wait between orders. Don't make a trigger like
Actions:
Order all units to move to bottom.
Preserve trigger.
Have some kind of stall.

Alright lemme put this in clearer words:

- You spawn the untis at the start
- Order them to move towards the end
- Using Countdown Timer, DeathCount or Physical Timer you will wait X amount of seconds
- Order the Units to move again.

Use a switch to enable it when there are units in the field of play. When that switch is enabled you will run a trigger that has that last 3 points I stated above.

There is a little search topic box at the bottom of the forum and a search forums button at the dropdown menus...

if you don't do this, you risk getting banned by yoshi (if he catches you)....
...but then, I have yet to see yoshi do this

Thats what the Search Feature is for.
You could've just written up Anti-Walling or something like that and it would've saved you and us some time.

Another way is to have a bit of land that nothing can be built on. Like in many of the 'choose your own defence' maps.

i got it fixed ty to the example shown to me. next time i will use search feature to make sure that there are no posts about what i need. sorry if i botherd yall. dident mean to jump steps or anything. just never saw as earch buttion before and i wasent gonna go threw every topoic to see if there was one done. couse i noticed alota ppl dont post what they need in topic but mnost do. ty all for help

CrazyWulf, seeing as Yoshi doensn't come to the MMA forum as much as he probably used to, I seriously doubt he would notice. And even if he did, I don't think you would get anything more than a warn level increase.

Just take times on how long it takes for the runners to reach the end. And if they don't reach it within that amount of time set a switch that makes the computer unally the player and then ally back when they reach the end,

He doesn't want them to attack and kill all the buildings. Just initially attack the ones blocking the men.
