lol.. well today sumthing strange happend with my map.. i woke up thought like ok lets play with extended buildings and placed some around with starforge.. no in fact i only placed 2... Then i also modified some other (allready palced in past) buildings and units, but thats unimportant now... fact is i only placed 2 new buildings around..

ok so i also know that the x-tra editor dont like extended buildings that doesnt really exist... and say it cant place them / they catn be placed.. ok ..

so if i modify buildings and units (that were allready palced and made no error) that cant change there place right ?!

so if i only placed 2 NEW EXTENDED BUILDINGS (nearby my edits of allready placed units/buildings), then how many unplaceable units should x-tra editor comment ?!

2! right ?!

BUT it saied about 22 old/outdated units/buildings cant be placed, allthough i never palced so amny and yesterday nite (before i added 2 new buildings) i never had that error, so that is not possible...

i checked my map and i cant see anything missing... i played it and all works fine ( i think) ... so WTF is going on here ?!

EDIT: now it happend again.. i didnt even placed units/buldings.. i just edited triggers with starforge not touching anything else... got back to x-tra and boom.. again 22 units are outdated.. and again no changes (at least i cant find em) on map..



ADDITION:
and i have also a 2nd question... why acnt i cloak neutral players units ?! i mean i can cloak units and buildings for player 1-8 but 9-12 not ... why ?!

EDIT: Solved.. lol.. a simple wait and give unit trigger solved the thing smile.gif

hehe tongue.gif but do u have a answer for my 1st question ... the "starforge-xtra editor " problem ? it seems to be randomly... when u edit a map in starforge and go back to xtra the chance is high that units /that does not even exist) cant be placed and got removed, but nothing chnages...

This is such specific question, Explained horribly and yet you expect us to figure something out without an attached map. Good Luck.

attached map ?! if u would read carefully , u would know this happens randomly...
i mean i cant tell u when exactly this happens..

and if i post my map now, u can view it and 5 minutes later on another map i have the same problem ! or on the same map.. i dont even know what i do to cauze the problem.. it doesnt matter what i do.. it happens when it whant to happen without logic and system... its more a editor-problem then a a problem on my map...

That simple: After starforge edits, xtra editor gives strange and impossible errors... (unit cant be placed/outdated stuff)...

and sorry if im not an expert like u in explaining things...

hmm ok .. i try it with a few words and simple now... in the exact order...

-) i edit a map in xtra and save (all fine)
-) i switch to starforge (same map) to palce extended units/buldings/triggers , save (all fine)
-) go back to xtra and it tells me there are 22 units that can be placed and or are outdated and so they got removed... (but i never paced them .. not 22 .. just 1 or 2 )
-) it also happens if i only change triggers in starforge and go back to xtra
-) NOTE THIS NOT HAPPENS EVERYTIME... BUT TIME BY TIME AND RANDOMLY

BUT in fact nothing got removed and everything is like before... so why comes this error and what does it mean if no action is taken.. a false-start-error?! lol

You yourself stated that x-tra doesn't like extended units. The truth is, x-tra doesn't support extended units. So if course the editor is going to crash or there is going to be unplaceable units. Why there is 22 for only 2? We don't know. We would have to find out what those units actually are, if in fact they are functional units part of SC.
