Staredit Network -> SCMDraft -> Terrain Index Window

OK, SI I know you are working hard on SCMD2 and that it will be great, the only thing that I want to see is a better better Terrain Index Window. Maybe if all of the pieces were shown as used in terrain, ie. you could see where it fits in a cliff, and select from there. Also make an optional grid in there so you can see where each piece ends/ begins.

Also I know that a lot of people hate programs like BMP2SCM, but if you could incorporate that in then it would be very useful. I have never used the program, but if I ever do then this would help.

In fact it would be best if SCMD2 would just be every other SC mapping program rolled into one: SCTrigger, Proedit, SCMIE, etc. I bet you have already thought of a lot of this stuff but I hope that it helped.

It would be scary how good a BMP2SCM would be if SI made it. It would be like a whole new level. I remember a long time ago he asked me if he should include it and I told him no. And he was like alight as long as a 'certain other editor' doesn't include it.

I'm all for keeping this useless crap away from mapmaking.

A better idea would be an String Preveiwer that worked for Overlaps.

yeah, I remember that. I could easily make perfect bmp <> scm converter for each map size assuming the bmp uses the map tileset, else it would be approximated. However I dont see any use in this functionality so I wont be the first to do it.

What about including SC trigger and other useful/not n00b utilities?

yea i think Paella's thing and (U)Bolt_Head's thing are both good. that would be cool if you put them both in

Yes please Sc triggers. Would it be hard to include both? I have no idead how making an editor or anything like that works so don't be mean if what I said is totally impossible and dumb =p.

SCTrigger is up to DW if he wants to include it or not...
I am not going to add protection because I do not want to deal with all the cases of people protecting without having a backup.
