Staredit Network -> UMS Assistance -> Attacking Interceptors

I had a weird glitch, where i was playing someones rpg(low quality) and i was a carrier. There was a beacon on the water for us to go on to teleport us elsewhere.
My interceptor was following a scout who went onto the beacon, the interceptor went thru the beacon and to the new location. The Interceptor kept attacking even tho it was out of the carriers range( Shoulda got a screenshot). I was curious and watching, so my carrier got killed by some hydras. Even with the Carrier gone, the little interceptor was still attacking scouts and being shot at. After it killed a scout and a Spore Colony it blew up(disappeared).

Anyone have any clue as to if this glitch can be harnessed and used?

wow really? i thought the intercepter would have died... i think that may be impossible to have happen, i think that was a once in a life time thing if that actually happened, so no we prolly can make it happen again unless u put a carrier in a location, make all intercepters in location move to another location and have them attack stuff, which doesnt work well

AI Scripting can cause this.

Tell me good reasons and maybe I'll delete it, but I'm pretty sure many people are wondering how they control the interceptors like many games do nowadays.

Didn't he say the carrier was gone an the interceptor was still there??? Don't interceptors disappear even using the AI scripts...

I'm not sure about the tutorial but the only thing i could say is possably you might need to preserve the trigger on that and speicify conditions that allow it to run all the time.
(other wise whats the point of the hyper trigger if it only runs once)

I don't know if the interceptors will stop going to that point if they stop receaving the AI or once they have got there. But i do know that ai script will not cause them to attack. (unless not having it preserved allows it)

Dont Worry Legacy I checked your tutorials biggrin.gif .

It didnt solve my problem. I tried to reanimate the same sequence in the map, i did and it didnt happen right, when interceptor went to the damn beacon location, it ran back to the carrier. So owellz once in a lifetime right?

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
that happened to me too
hahahaha it was scary i thought someone hacked me XD
anyways, i think it happens because of lots of triggers moving stuff around and attacking (very laggy) but my interceptor died instead of killing the other unit (which was a dragoon)
