Allow them many opertunities but don't expect them to enjoy what you want them to do. The most important thing is to show them morals at a young age and never underestamate what a child is capable of intelectually.

I know this one kid who isn't even three years old but can sit at my computer chair, find the internet explorer icon and click on it with the mouse and launch www.simslots.com and actively play games that have various different types of mini games. He fully understands what's all going on and knows how to navigate between the different pages of the site.
