Out of curisoity, if you took the AMC (AMC10 or AMC12) either today or two weeks ago what was it like?
I answered 18 of the 25 questions. Best possible score for me is 126.5/150 (passing is 120 or top 1% of nation).
If you have no clue what I'm talking about, as most of you don't, you don't need to post.
I got 149.6.
I was so mad at myself for my stupidity.
10 or 12?
You in what grade?
Damn that's good. Especially on 12.
Wait a minute.... how the hell do you lose 4/10 of a point?
Scoring was
Wrong - 0
Right - 6
Blank - 2.5
*DT_Battlekruser begins to distrust answer.
Ugh, I was thinking of another test. I meant 147.5
I took it. ;D
Don't remember how many I answered but I took AMC 12 so I only need 100 points

Huh, I actually thought 12 was eaiser than 10, since I took 10 last year

10 last year was hella hard, easier this year methinks.
Question I missed (and still don't get --- left it blank)
12. The first number in a series is 2005. Each subsequent number is found by summing the cubes of each digit. What is the 2005th number in this series?
wtf???
Answer is 133.
2^3 + 5 ^3 = 133
1^3 + 3^3 + 3^3 = 55
5^3 + 5^3 = 205 (pattern starts now and this is sequence 3)
3 divides into 2004 evenly, meaning that the first number in the sequence is the answer. gged

D'oh.
There was so much probability and

on there we don't cover till spring

Oh well, I might have passed.
Ugh, mathematics. Whatever floats your boat.
NOOOO OMG I am so pissed. Got results today.
My score:
Correct: 17
Incorrect: 1
Blank: 7
Score: 119.5
(passing is 120)
WTF!!!!
Failed by .05?!?!? That really sucks.
Anyways, I have been confused about all this AMC thing. Is it an American thing? And what does it stand for?
It's like, American Math Contest, and the problems in it are gay but funny. So I take them for fun
