I agree with Bolt Head. I think it's fair to say that most teenagers do go through a depression stage, but I don't think that is what matters. What does matter is how you rise above and meet the challenge put before you.
I just had the crappiest performance of my life (it was my fault too) and although I'm really sad and bitter about it, I wouldn't say I'm depressed. It's things like that that remind you you're human and still have capacity within yourself to feel hurt as well as love.
