Anyone know if there is any AI scripts to force the computer to upgrade their units?

There isn't, but I have seen techniques to force the computer to do so by setting off a chain of events.

If you run an AI (like bw expansion zerg insane blah blah) then they should do it on their own. But if you're not running an AI...

You want to create the buildings necessary, and then the units that are going to use it, and then give them exacly the ammount of cash needed for the upgrade.

Like you would give a protoss computer a pylon, 1 or 2 forges, 1 or more Dragoons, and 100/100 ore/gas to have them upgrade attack.

This probably isn't going to work EVERYTIME, but it definately does work some of the time.

Yeh bit disapointing, I didn't actually endevour to try and make this work. But thanks for the ideas, could "try" something at a later date.

One of my censored.gif ty earlier maps I just made it insane zerg and made the time it takes to upgrade units really long so it seemed like the computer was slowly advancing but they dont go past 3-3 i dont think.

There's no code in the AI Scripts themselves telling them to go past 3/3. The 3+/3+ range was created by mods, and most likely not intended by Blizzard. Technically, however, if you used a mod and created your own AI Scripts, you could make forced upgrade scripts quite easily.

Ah, but that requires mods, and it can go past SC/BW 1.07 for now. That's excluding the current projects trying to change that though.

Hmm.. forced ups...
The only way I know of/thought of, is having the Comp mind control some unit of someone else, that someone else having ups. I don't know if it would work though.

I've said this like 4 times on these forums already. YOU CANNOT TRANSFER UPGRADES.

You can only transfer abilities and spells that way.
