Is there a way to detect if there are units in a shuttle/dropship/overlord. thanks

It not sure if this would work but does the "Bring unit to location" trigger also apply to units inside a dropship.
If it does you just found a way to do it.

Another way would be to move the dropship to a separate area, and via triggers order it to unload it's units and then use the "Bring Units to Location" or the "Comman At" triggers.

Or you can possibly make a location that follows a dropship and do runaiscriptatlocation do it at that location where the dropship is and whenever a unit goes to it it will be loaded. and then just tell on display text unit loaded

For Beer's first sugegstion, if you sert the lcoationf for air only, then it will detect it only if the units are in the dropship. Just thought that might help a bit....

Yes it does. Like Zerg said, it will fufill the "air" conditions.
