I am probaly the only one that voted for the third option - even though I know what starcraft is

I don't see anything wrong with it. It's same old except the only thing I really care about is the minimap ping. I haven't experienced any bugs except the installation. It's funny though, they have to enter b.net for the tech support, yet you cant enter bnet without installing the patch.

Only thing I don't like about it is that it looks extremely crammed together. other than that its cool

I wanted to see more drastic changes... Like WC3's... O well, at least they did something...

I have not yet to test this patch seeing as I cannot find my SC disk. Also whenever I try to log onto b.net it wont let me >< It crashes. Oh well, i'll get it fixed soon. Until then Ill just read about the new patch. I voted "Starcraft? What is Starcraft?" :-)

I hate it, they're making SC into WC, which they shouldn't Starcraft is starcraft and Warcraft is warcraft, keep them serate, there's a reason why people are playing SC and not WC!!! THat's why i'm afarid of SC2, it'll be a lot like WC most likely, with upgrading heros and sh*t

Umm..Starcraft? What is starcraft?... Lol...I voted yes because the patch created more bugs then it fixed...Only good thing about it is that it stopped the hacks...For like a week...

Well, let's see here... Is StarCraft turning into WarCraft...? Nope. They're not. StarCraft is a 2D game which has very few customizable aspects to it. Only thing that's similar to WarCraft is the Battle.net talking place thingy. It has a friends list now. Ooooooh. Oh no. A friends list tab! And it also has a map preview for single player. So? Is this a bad thing?

And how do you think that StarCraft II will be a lot like WarCraft? Blizzard hasn't even released anything about StarCraft II yet. Blah.[/center]

I see... so what your saying is p161 can still be used to cloak units... but no one has been able to get it to work? Hmmm, nice fix

Also, chech this picture out: . The last time I saw blizzard hire this many people in such a short period of time is when warcraft 2 was being made. This must mean that they are having problems making starcraft: ghost, or they are about to make starcraft 2.

I dont think it messed up SC but it didnt really add anything great either. Sure the Friends tab is kewl but it could have been better such as increasing friends list and seeing if they are in game. The rally ping, and alliance features are cool though and the map preview too. It was "refreshing" to see something different.

mess up starcraft? i think not!! the only game play difference is the minimap ping, and it's awsome... it makes it so you can actually point to stuff!~!! woot, making game play even better for versus games. the one thing that i am sad about is that they didnt add it for replays, where it is sorelly needed.

i think the new patch seems to fixed some the bugs problem in battle.net

I dont know, but from what ive read of it its messed up quite a few maps...i cant play on SC for now so that sucks

I like the mini-map ping, it's good for UMS and Melee, like in a bound map or something if some one can't find the banner you can mini-map ping, and in Melee its good for telling your allies to attack/defend at that spot. The mini-map ping should be the color of the player who uses it though.

I like the E-mail thing, even though you're probably not going to use it often, because people start with it set not to recieve E-mail.

The friends button is good, you can check the profiles of some one if the're in your friends list.

And you can hold shift and press tab, and it will change the colors of the people, thats cool, sometimes they change to weird colors, and sometimes if there are weird colors, it will show up normal so you can tell who the units belong to.

I don't think it messed Starcraft up at all.

I think upgrading heros would be good for UMS maps, like RPGs, but not for Melee.

I wish they would make a clan system for SC like they have on WC3.

Ya, I also wish they would extend friends list to like 50.

What maps has it messed up? The only maps I know of that any of the patches messed up are the "26 tricks" maps

Any maps that used players 13 - 256 don't work anymore

k that sucks, but overall the game has been imporved in my opinion. it can get annoying if people minimap ping a whole lot, but it really doesnt happen enough to be bad. the friend button does seem a bit useless in but the map preview is nice. i give the new patch a 8/10.

Some of my friends cant access battle.net after the new patch. I havent got any problems with the patch myself though, but I don't think the patch was necessary. Sometimes I miss the "create" button and hit the "friends" button instead
