Well, this is a MAP MAKING site, but lately Minimoose and other members are posting melee tourneys on news. This site is turning like any other site... -.-"
It's okay to make melee map making-related news, map making tourneys, melee map making tourneys, but melee tourneys?! I think that they should go on Garbage instead of on news.

It is hard to predict what you guys consider news since there is no real standard. I mean sometimes you see a melee tourney posted as news, sometimes a news like Starcraft7 which is not UMS or map related etc..

I always remember Yoshi saying we are not a news-based site. Thus, I generally thought the news was for major SC developments, major affiliate's developments, and internal community news. An official tourney would fit under the third category Besides, if the tourney isn't posted on the front page, chances are nobody will join. Its already the third post, I'm considering reposting to bump it up.

This site has always had melee tournies organized in it, I think a few before have been posted as news. I don't really think it matters because this site is and always will be a mapping site and everyone knows that. What it grows to be is up to the members and staff not either/or.

The melee tourney is just for fun. If we did it on a regular basis, yeah, I suppose it would be sortof like other sites, but we're still a map making site. And yeah, we're not a news site either. The melee tourney isn't so we join the melee gaming community, its just to have a bit of fun...

Is it really "official" tournaments? I'm not sure, but if we could care less about the tournaments existance... how is it really "official". At least, I don't see Yoshi giving tournaments extra attention except setting news posts to visible.

Well, yeah, but posting them on news looks like SEN's admin/mods are abusing their power to put unrelated stuff, and if someone else wants to make melee tournament they cant put it on news because its not map making related...

Heh, that's quite unrelated. But anyway, I still think the same about those melee tourneys.
