heres my new map, hot off the press. i worked on it for 2 hours. It seems to be very balanced, because i made sure each section of land was about the same size.

Map #1

I can see that it's quite a good map and frankly the best part of it is the middle. You thought of making it as balanced as posible and you get an A+ for that, but not having a lot of strategy kills your map.

The middle area has lots of strategy but the main bases have practically none. Try putting in some cliffs that overlook the area next to the water, that way you'd have to really think about making a drop on the edge of the island. You would have to think things through on where you want to drop.

If you make a couple of modifications it'll be worthy of the Pro section.

Map #2

Nothing much to say about this map. All I can say is that it's pretty terrainless and that there aren't many features promoting strategy.

okay here they are the Final versions of both maps, thanks for your help Keg.
CRAP! i just realized i protected it, so sorry there are no thumbnails for them but plz look at my maps! Keg could you put the final versions in the DLDB instead?

Get a hold of a program called "map generator"... It can take pictures of maps even if the map is locked. Also, addeding doodads such as trees also add stragedy.... that way 1 single fully healthed marine (without a medic) has a VERY good chance at killing a fully healthed hydra.

that map reminds me of a ceartain other map, but i can't remember the name im in quite a paradox tongue.gif . my only advice is to make the main "shore" i guess i would call it, unbuildable, otherwise makes it very powerfull just to turret /cannon up.

i have it, and when i used it it took out doodads and replaced them with odd tiles. and it also took out minerals and vespene so it would be pointless to put up.
