JunkYard dog only works for computer players.

I don't understand what your second question means.

yeah, I know, but it doesn't happen always to me...
funny, maybe, you forgot to place a computer start location and it was given to player 12.

Make sure the computer with the units is the one to own the trigger, that way you know he will be thre to run it and have t work.

I don't get your second question. Do you mean like Marines that fire at midair confused.gif

Nice SPAMMAGE!!!!

...

Anyways, I think he is refering to this tutorial:

We have tutorials for everything! ...

No, wait, we don't... getting the comp to nuke doesn't come with problems.

Also, due to changes caused by the latest patch, this tutorial might not work anymore. sad.gif

He is not referring to the unit 2008 trick, he is referring to like in a basketball game - instead of passing the scourge to other players or shoot at the goal, how to make it that you aim manually to the directions around you (like you unload a scv and it shoots straight ahead etc.) And yes, the unit 2008 trick doesn't work anymore, maps with that unit will just crash in patch 1.2

mmh... for your seconde Q (how do people make those directional shooting? like you facing left then you shoot left?
or they jut have observers at the other end...but still..that mans you can only have 1 direction....)
do u mean a disabled marine ?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by axblader on 2005-02-20 at 17:20:44
direectional shooting.
though i got many ideas for it none of them seem good...

what does attack generic target do? does it travel in a certain direction forever or somthing?(Until stopped)
i need some thing like that so i can haved an observer circle your unit and it will fly that direction...
Report, edit, etc...Posted by MapUnprotector on 2005-02-20 at 17:25:18

I would use something like 1x64 locations that span the whole map, then I would have units border the edges of the map, so that you would center the 1x64 location on your main unit and a unit would also be in the location around the edges, therefore you can tell the observer to move there.
Or create a series of overlords using the grid method where you create about 9 overlords, center whichever one you want then from there create another 9 and keep repeating it as far as you want to go.

What about neutral players?

u could load a shuttle with 8 units each assigned to a direction and when unloaded, the *bullet* fires in the direction according to the unit unloaded

ex: marine=left unload marine and bullet goes to left of map

Take a look at Tux's Gunner System, that will help:
http://www.staredit.net/index.php?download=2077

If you don't get it at all, check out this:

And looking at this grid tutorial wouldn't hurt either:

I do believe there was 2 gunner systems that were named 1 and 2 but were completely different approaches. They are in the experimental maps section.
