this is ognna sound really noobish, but how do i take a screen shot of a game?
i tried the print screen button, then pasting it into PAINT, but it doesnt show what i saw in starcraft... it works right when i screenshot the desktop, but not in a game...

this pertains to map making, because i want to use some images in a map i create

It ends up in your Starcraft directory.
Most likely here: C:\Program Files\Starcraft
The name of the file is usually: screenXX.pcx
XX is a number

btw: .PCX files are not supported by my PAINT, but it does open in adobe photoshop, wonder why that is...

Also, you can't copy paste in Paint because it does not support pcx. files.

.PCX also does not open in Macromedia Fireworks.

I wonder why. Hmm... I smell conspiracy! ...nah.

Furthermore, the StarEdit Network Post Attachment System doesn't accept it. You have to change its extension to .gif or .jpg for it to work!

If your looking for a free program that can open and convert PCX files. Give infranview a try, it's fairly easy to use, and has some nice features.
