I'm having code getting lost with older versions not working. Face it, its not working.

I haven't edited too much lately except on my own files... and I did a massive download of all the files inside the admin file changes... you sure you didn't overwrite your own file or something or didn't report the change? 
Anyways, I'm going to do a complete redownload of the entire site and start over fresh.

Well, if you kept the changes file in one post and kept editing it, you wouldn't have this problem.
