Yes, I was FINALLY able to get a topic closed, *applause at self*,
I never had one closed before.

I want to use variables simple variables...

I had a question about variables, is there any way that we could retain variables within a set numeral without the usage of deathcounts and accumulates?
Subtraction Addition, Division, multiplication amongst it?

If not, is there any way we could suggest this to Blizzard?

I do know about the, deathcount variables, having a deathcount retain a #x, and giving this deathcount to another deathcount, and refilling it modifying it, as a way to have variables.

But this method seems to be a bit primative, and hasslesome.

Looking for efficiency...

I was hoping to use this for interaction between variables in a simpler manner.

(You know, theres no questions I could possibly ask that could help me... So im asking for the greater good.)

Okay so that wasn't a map problem... another close?

How do you cloak a wraith? cough cough*
How do you attack? cough cough*

Okay, heres a legitimate question,

I heard about a extended player unit that supposedly cloaks units around it.
Did I just hear things or something? I heard it shows up as a pylon in the starforge editor.

For the last time, that unit is gone/not found yet becuase of the new patch.
The old unit was 6178.

Your last question:

There was one, but I believe that it was very unstable, and doesn't work with 1.12 anyways. Although, I would love to know how you HEARD a forum topic. happy.gif

Ty, I didn't know that...

Too bad you didn't answer any of my other questions like,
How do you cloak a wraith... cough cough*

I just answered that "Last question" with my post.
The other stuff wasn't really a question, or I read it wrong.

Remember people, please search the forums before posting. This question must've been answered at least 2 times.

At least 7. Lol.
To cloak a wraith, click the cloak button, or go into unit properties and clicked cloaked. Make sure it's reseached.
To attack, right click on an enemy while a unit that can attack is selected.

See? Thank you, you have sucessfully answered my question.
Rexy is so sexy. Oh yes.

The closet way that you can get to having variable is my Starcraft Digit system which can be found in my signature, and which I still hvaen't finished developing.

I do have a concept in my mind about variables and I can write the equation with a variable in Starcraft, but I can't think of a way to get the equation solved using triggers.

Hmmm... If we did (and they cared), it could be implemented in a patch, after all, SC Patch 1.04 added new trigger actions... sly.gif

Blizzard made enw triggers in patch 1.04 because it was the release of Brood War, an expansion not a patch to update the Editor.

I would help....Just don't know what the hell you're going on about....
The variable thing....You trying to make a trigger to make events happen randomly against each other? Or am I just farting into the wind here? (Doing sumthing that'll make me feel good but is actually pointless...)

Just cos I can make a completely random trigger that'll work v.well for about 5 or less events (more than that and its just labourious)

Variables are using deathcounts or accumulates, gas ore, retaining a number.
These counters that are retaining numbers. These numbers are swapped between each other or added, multiplied into each other. And the transferring of these variables allows for events to happen.

Such as, having a deathcount suited for deaths of a unit.

You could create a game such as a sniper game. This game would register counter points per kill. Now, this is a simple +1 to counter trigger. Now to maximize the variables, you could add things such as bonus's that allow for you to multiply your kills by two per kill, adding +1 point per kill, or swapping of kills by swapping variables.

ugh whatever.

I don't think you read what I said... I have seen this before, and already know how to do it. I think you just read the post name and decided to get another post for yourself. I already said that I knew this and didn't want to do this.

And,
Why waste your time saying "We have tutorials for everything" on every single post? How does that help the people out there? Only a select few view the posts that you post that in. Instead, broadcast it to everyone ONE time.
