hmmmm, this map is iffy. ill give you one thing, its unique, you place like 5 trillion billion hundred doodads though. and the placement of them are odd. Ill give you another thing, this map is balanced. its ok 7.5/10 it just doesnt seem like it took much skill to make

I feel like this map wouldn't be interesting to play because of the homogenaity of the terrain, even with the doodads. An often overlooked part of playing starcraft, especially melee starcraft, is about the atmosphere created by the maps; a map with interesting terrain makes for a compelling location for battle, and a mood for games. Some maps feel a bit scary to play on, while some feel sort of comfortable, some feel very alien and some feel very natural and plausible, some are geometric and some are organic. This map doesn't really have a distinct mood and, in game, really wouldn't be that interesting, because the terrain is so plain and predictable. My advice would be to really get immersed in the analysis of pro maps for awhile. www.wgtour.com has a good package of them, once they get back up. Just look at how the terrain is used, and see what you like. This to me feels very underdeveloped or something, and yearns for development. Also, it very rarely works to have single doodads repeated so close together. Like other elements of this map, it looks neither realistic nor visually interesting, so I don't see the use. You really should just look hard at pro maps for awhile. I'm not saying love them, there are many pro maps that I hate. Just try to think about what went into them, look at doodad placement, look at terrain, look at aesthetics as they relate to playability, and look at the situations a map presents for players.

nice criticism, by the way, welcome to SEN, i guess your new here. Puni, i would follw his advice he makes a few good points. My first map was Hellish Wasteland, i made it after looking at various pro maps and i got a few ideas from others, i now know where to place doodads, bases, and terrain to add, and other things like that. It adds strategy to the games. But this map is different, i think you tried to go for the plain looking, not much hapening map. its not bad. keep up the work, and take tak's advice

ADDITION:
P.S. take heres a Karma, you made a good point, you will fit in well to SEN.

The map looks pretty balanced. I really dont like this map much because its 100% symmetrical and all those tree doodads look wrong. It's a pretty good map but the symmetry and the doodads dont make it look good. I'm a huge fan of dooads for microing but not placed all in a straight line all symmetrical-like. I'll give the map a 6.7/10 based on what I said.

It IS a better map than most or all the maps I've seen from you.

ADDITION:
And yes, I did download it.
