Well, me and some freinds made a cartoon once which can be found at Zan and Eddie, in the episodes section. It turned out that its better to record voices in professional locations, because our first episode was utterly horrid. I would recomend at least dampening your walls with sot material before attempting home made voices. Other than that I'm all for it!

Depends on how well-done they are, and how much they add to the download.

Considering most people have a $5 shitty ass microphone and your typical mock voice impressing of some well known actor. I would rate 0 to most.

I voted ten...simply because every campaign I've actually played that has had voices has been well-done for the most part. Though considering most of the campaigns I've played have been from Campaign Creations, that isn't surprising. I believe the voices done best were the homemade ones for Vision of the Future 3, Prophecy, made by RCX. Though from the sound of them you can tell they weren't made by TRUE experts, they are very well done. Sadly, for some reason it seems RCX dropped a lot of stuff from former Visions while making Vision4...Final Destiny. Upgrade limit dropped from 255 to 10, more weapons weren't renamed, voice-driven story was removed...still, really good stuff.

Maybe but I would use Windows XP's Speech at the control panel

Start Menu>Control Panel>Sounds, Speech, and Audio Devices>Speech

Then type anything and you will hear a robot talk like if you type lame, he says lame but windows xp's speecher could pronounce stuff wrong
