First, I know it is symetrical. Be realistic, How many space stations are asymetrical. Anywho what do you think?

You might want to decrease the number of Vespene Geysers (maybe remove 1 from an expo on either side), and you also might want to give the players a little more building room (it seems alittle small to me.)

Otherwise, it's pretty good. I'd give it 7.5/10 stars. wink.gif

Be realistic! How many space playforms have minerals and gas growing out of them? tongue.gif Pretty nice but I would make the islands buildable.

ewwww... Looks awful... Almost no stratagy...
I don't know how you could improve this to put some stratagy in it...

True But there is some stratagy... like building an air building thingy on the platforms near the enemy and then kill them with air! I can't really play it without my SC CD But i just looked at the Srceenshot

Hmm, too many gas expos, not enough mineral ones. And this map doesn't really have strategy, because I memorized this map in 10 seconds. Too easy. pinch.gif

Not enough room for protoss to move, nothing really exciting and it would make a TvZ game really boring (Terran have numerous advantages, if you can't see them you should play the game more). If it were me I'd start a new, everyone has their trashy maps so don't worry about it.

A tip for your maps to come (should you decide to), think not about how it looks on the mini map think about what games would take place on it. Think about how early games would generally go and how late games would be played. Try to avoid imagining a turtle game.

i was just going to say that lol.
your map has 3 terrain types. platform, high platform, and space. add more kinds of terrain, there is no space for basically any race, too much gas, you tried to be symmetrical but you screwed up (reds base is way off center). you used no strategic doodads.

1/10 (and that 1 came from just having a map to present)

First off, this lacks any sort of thought or creativity. The narrow paths hardly allows for any real fighting to get done, and if Terrans get siege tanks, the games over already. I couldve classfied this as an air map, but theres barely any room to build as it is.

That said, the whole middle, all 75+% of it, is completely and utterly useless. It wouldve been cool to have all those different routes, but theyre so narrow that theyre of no use. And those measley 12 mineral patches, with no gas nodes, make it useless to fight over.

Im not even gonna comment on those "expansions". mad.gif

this is supposed to help him make his maps better, comment on everything you see wrong or else he will keep making the same mistakes.
the middle expansions are pontless, three minerals? not going to help that much, you would have to put 4 CCs there to mine efficently and waste 1200 minerals for 12 patches.

1200 IF your zerg, if your terran or toss, its 1600

lol, yea, so what you should do instead is maybe make 2 groups of 6 patches, take out that huge thinger and then it would be an ok expansion

No offense but I think that would be a good idea, if you plan to make another map try to give at least one optional route where theres a healthy amount of space (space to move, not the tile)

make sure the terrain choices arent to bland. You used space, platform, and high platform. i wouldnt qualify the high platform because it makes up like 1% of the map. On your next map, make sure that there is enough kinds of terrain and use doodads. Those two things add so much strategy to the map.
